whitesoxin'
Lost 4 of 5 in a home stand where all the games except for Cincinatti were winable. Does anyone else here follow Valpo basketball? Cause I got a feelin no one knows what the hell I'm talkin about.

I actually thought the Crusaders would do pretty well this year, but I was obviously wrong.
Cerbaho-WG
s***, from the looks of your profile you're 15 so you have to go to VHS. What year are you? I'm a Senior and usually wear a lot of Sox stuff. I thought I was the only Sox fan at VHS!
CubsSuck1
My bro and his wife go to valpo.
whitesoxin'
Cerbaho- I'm only a freshman, and I went to BF last year. My sister is a junior though. And I felt the same way about being the only Sox fan. You might have seen me wearing a cork shirt the day after the Flubs got eliminated. I almost got in a fight in the locker room too. It seems like all the kids at school are fair weathered scrubs fans anyways. BTW- Are you on the baseball team?
southsider2k5
Valpo has had a thing for slow starts the last couple of years. I wonder if they will turn it around in the second half or not.
CaliSoxFan
They may be known for slow starts, but this year with their young team they are not sounding that great. i.e. I listen over the internet. I never went to valpo, but I am origionally from the area.

I am playing Intramurals though, as you found out last night. On the Justice League I'm Wonder Woman aka the guy who f***ed up his knee real good when we played you. As for the Cubs fans at school, you're dead on. There is not one diehard Cub fan at VHS. My best friend is a Cubs fan, so when they blew the NLCS my buddy (who is a big Sox fan) gave her and everyone s*** forever. After Soxfest I'll most likely be wearing a Loaiza jersey, so I shouldn't be too hard to spot. I'll break some of my Sox gear tomorrow, although I'm leaving my signed Crede, Borchard and Garland jerseys in the closet. I have a size 52 (I only wear a 44 lol) Buehrle jersey, so I might just wear that tomorrow.
whitesoxin'
I wore my Sox t-shirt under my jersey at intermurals, and we lost 100-32 to Old School Die Hards. I hate that team cause they had a full court press on all game and we only had 5 guys cause we have three wrestlers and they had a meet. It was ugly. I would be wearing my new Ordonez All-Star jersey, but my mom is hiding it from me and she wont give it to me until Christmas. PS- I remember you with the f***ed up knee. We thought you were faking because you didn't want to get dominated by freshman. jj. I was the kid with "Snell" on the back and I scored 12. My knee hurt so ungodly bad, and my ankle too. I played last night against Bellig, but only one half. The back of my knee is tight and my ankle has a nice big black and blue mark on it. When I got tied up with some kid on your team my foot didn't give way as I feel right, and my knee just kept twisting. The scream I let out was very, very real. About the Old School Cry Hards, they are a bunch of dicks. We're making new shirts when we play them, because just about our entire team hates them. Oh, and good luck tonight against Hundo Proof. I'll try and stop by.

Our game isn't til 8:45 for the third time this week. Are you friends with the people from bono's team? Our team is going to be 0-6 after tonight lol. But we are prolly the best freshman team. Oh, and kick Old Schools ass on February 18, and maye that will cap off an undefeated Justice League season?
Cerbaho-WG
Yeah, I'll be there at 8:45. Our only real challenges will be Hundo Proof, hang em' high and Sparkz. I'll be sporting the Crede jersey.

Hang 'em High is pretty good, but they are cocky. My sister's friends with them and they've been tellin me how good their team is since the summer. BTW- Look for the kid with "applejuice" on his shirt because that is the kid who got tangled up with you and hurt ur knee. He is a bit queer, but hes tall so we put him on our team. I would agree with the young assessment. I haven't watched them play yet this year though, so I can't tell you how much upside there is on that team. Usually the Drews do a killer job of bringing in international studs, the problem being they take longer to acclimate.

He was a transfer from Marquette so he knows how the game is to be played. Kenny Harris (from Bishop Knoll\Griffith) is huge but is not anywhere close to being used to the speed of the game. Sylla is another freshman from some foreign country. I have only seen him play for a few minutes, and it wasn't anything jaw-dropping. But Dan Oppland, a sophmore, brings a lot of energy and spark to the team so Valpo should be back to where they were a few years ago next year. whitesoxin'
Thanks for the info. Hopefully they will get them on ESPN sometime soon. They have a three year deal with Duke, starting next year. Two games will be at Cameron Indoor, but one will be at the United Center, and I believe they will be nationally telecasted on ESPN. Not that I claim to know much about Valpo basketball...but Jimmie Miles isnt a transfer from Marquette...hes a true freshmen who went to Rich Central in suburban Chicagoland...The reason i know this is because I watched him play last year...Sweetshooting lefty, will be a solid player! Oops. lol. I always get him and Ron Howard confused. Ron Howard is the transfer from Marquette. And I still mean everything I said about Miles. Howard is solid too, but he's a Sophmore, not a freshman. Thanks for pointing that out because I thought about it after I posted it and realized it might be Howard who was a transfer.
