AssHatSoxFan
perhaps the GC is not the best system to get if you are into those games but I can recommend Mario Kart Double Dash

marsh
perhaps the GC is not the best system to get if you are into those games but I can recommend Mario Kart Double Dash well it comes down to $$. the gamecube is selling for $99 w/ four zelda games whereas the other systems are like $179 by themselves. i'm curious why you say that though. are games like madden which you can get for any system so much better or worse from system to system? southsider2k5
I don't have GC but I have always been told that the adventure type games (Zelda, Animal Crossing, Mario etc) we the thing on GC. If you want sports go for the Xbox or PS2.

If you want sports go for the Xbox or PS2. i've heard that too. but i always thought it was due to the fact that the gamecube and the mario games/kid games is seen as more of a system for kids whereas xbox and ps2 is more advertised towards adults. has anyone played the same game on different systems? is there a huge difference? i can't imagine that playing madden '04 is vastly better on the xbox than on the GC. or is it? If you want sports go for the Xbox or PS2. I have heard the same thing but I find the sports games just as good and I have no problem with the controler. BTW, the wireless controler is a MUST! As far as games go, here are my favs: Madden EA NHL EA Tiger Woods Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast Resident Evil Resident Evil Zero

As far as games go, here are my favs: Madden EA NHL EA Tiger Woods Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast Resident Evil Resident Evil Zero thank you! i've played a very little bit of GC and ps2 and couldn't really say one is superior than the other. but like i said, i've hardly played either. i think that once people start hearing things they assume they are true and then pass them on to others. i'm not saying either way that the GC is better or worse for sports games i just think that it's perhaps its one of those things where a reputation is not reflective of the reality. thanks again for the recommendations. Texsox
I have 5 gaming systems at my house PC, GC. PS2, GameBoy, and the newest addition an XBox. IMHO the Xbox graphics are very good and I like the harddrive, PS2 has the most games I'm interested in, and the GC kinda sits their a lot of the time. I do find that my local Hollywood video always seems to have a couple good GC games available when everything else is rented.

Texsox
Marsh part of it is the XBOx and PS2 are newer, we bought the CabeCube when it first came out. With so many games being developed for every platform it seems kind of dumb to have them all. I'm waiting for someone to develope a universal controller that could plug into any of the three. santo=dorf
Let's just say the gamecube controller sux. NO way! I think it's just like a modify PS2 controller. It fits like a glove once you give it a couple of hours. The wavebird is a great controleer, but it doesn't have a rumble feature.

aboz56
I've had a Cube since it's been out. I recently got the wavebird wireless controller and I like that a lot. I play mostly sports games on the Cube and they are comparable to the games on PS2 and X-box for both graphics and game play. The three games that I've been playing the most lately which are all excellent are NBA Live 2004, Madden 2004 and NCAA Football 2004. I'll probably pick up Mario Kart soon as well, as I've heard it's a great game and I loved the Mario Kart games on both the super nintendo and the nintendo 64.
