Wicked Nomah
...and screw Orza too! :fyou This will get done in the next week or so. To much leg work for it not to get done, IMO...and too many bridges burned to turn back. A-Rod and Bucky hate each other and Nomar is wicked fumin'. Bud better give Gene a reach-around and get this damn thing done or some deranged BoSox fan might get medievel on the both of 'em! ESPN insider actually has a new take IF the A-Rod/Manny deal ever gets done: New destination reported for Garciaparra Dec. 18 - One day after reports had Nomar all but delivered to Chicago in exchange for Magglio Ordoñez, pending the completion of the A-Rod deal, the Chicago Tribune cites sources who say there are huge obstacles to that deal, with one source even calling the Nomar-for-Ordoñez deal dead. According to the Tribune, White Sox GM Kenny Williams won't pull the trigger on acquiring Nomar unless he has an additional deal lined up to move either shortstop Jose Valentin or to spin Nomar himself on to another team. The Dodgers were thought to be the obvious destination for Nomar, but the Tribune suggests Williams still wants one of L.A.'s prized young arms -- Guillermo Mota, Edwin Jackson or Greg Miller -- and the Dodgers don't want to trade them. Even more interesting, Barry Rozner of the Arlington Heights Daily Herald suggests Williams' personal feud with Dodgers GM Dan Evans is fueling some of machinations between the clubs this offseason. Rozner also reports Williams might be working on a deal to spin Garciaparra to the Angels for left-hander Jarrod Washburn and closer Troy Percival, or other relief pitchers. Such a deal would give Williams the pitching he desires will tweaking the Dodgers in the process.
Chisoxfn
It was the Union that ended this deal and I personally got a feeling the Sox don't get Nomar.
KipWellsFan
Where did the Dan Evans vs. Kenny Williams feud begin?
Chisoxfn
Where did the Dan Evans vs. Kenny Williams feud begin? When Ken Williams was hired to be the GM, when Dan Evans thought he was the next in line.
Wicked Nomah
Where did the Dan Evans vs. Kenny Williams feud begin? I believe the feud began with the Osuna deal when we thought we got some throw in named Barry and Evans pulled a switcharoo with a guy named Bery...or something like that. Anyonelse feel free to jump in and throw me a rope!
