The Critic
What a putrid ass-crack of a hockey team THAT is!!! Outscored 9 to 2 by Ottawa and Detroit before a meaningless "so what" goal with 10 seconds left. Yeah, Detroit really sucks, huh? Pathetic, lifeless crapload. Thank GOD they don't show home games on TV - what the hell would we see? More lackluster s***ty "efforts" in front of 6,000 people? No thank you. What a f***ing mess. whitesoxin'
I feel sorry for you if you actually follow the Blackhawks. I go to about one game a year only because my dad likes the Red Wings (he grew up in Detroit) I can't even name more than Thibault or whatever, Daze, and Timmo Ruto? or something like that. Is Zhamnov still on the team? I stopped caring many years ago.

I agree, televising home games at this point would be a net negative cause more people would see how truly horrible this team has become. Even Heather cant make any apologies for this team. I dont want to hear excuses about injuries wither cause even with the pussy ass soviet soft ass zhamnov or Daze or T-Blow back in the lineup we'd still be losing nearly every game. This team doesn't hit, play defense, fight or score. They suck ass on the PP and the PK. Wow, I guess we are a complete team after all. NUKE_CLEVELAND
My Dad and his brother had season tickets for 24 years. Stoped in the late 80's when I was born. Right now, im sure he cant name more than 5 Hawks. Its things like that why I hate Bill Wirtz So much. Man I remember how it used to be. Back in the late 80's through the mid 90's you couldnt even come close to the Stadium on game night. Back then going to even the most meaningless regular season game was an experience to remember. The building shook from all the noise, right from the anthem which by itself was worth the price of admission , the boards rocked from big checks delivered by the likes or Roenick or Manson or Chelios or Steve Smith, when we scored you thought the house was going to fall down, when Belfour stood on his head, and I can still hear this chant in my mind, all you heard was "EDDDDDIE, EDDDDDDIE" Now its so quiet at the stale ass UC that you can hear the sound of the skates on the ice, that is unless the other team scores cause when Detroit or St. Louis comes to town their fans outnumber ours. Nothing for a hawks fan to do there except to boo Krapotsev or T-Blow. I think it's going to be a long time before I see the inside of that rink again. BridgeportHeather
The NHL will not be around in ten years...mark it down...and no one will be sad. That's not true exactly...The NHL's my favorite league to follow. I'd be devastated if the NHL didn't exist!

You'd be one of the few who would be actually sad. I don't even consider hockey as a top sport in America anymore. The NHL is lucky they atleast have a fun playoffs, or else they would be already done. The regular season draws no interest, and when the have a lockout they will be in deep trouble. DBAHO
The NHL will not be around in ten years...mark it down...and no one will be sad. It will be if there's a lockout, that's for sure. There's way too many teams in da league rite now, and there doesn'r seem to be many rivalries now as well.

I remember what it was like when the Blackhawks really cared.I should say when ownership really cared. My dad was a huge Hawks fan in 1969,the year Keith Magnuson and Tony Esposito (Tony O) were rookies.Stan Mikita,Bobby Hull and his brother Dennis were veterans on that team. The Hawks went from last to first that year (1969-70).I remember road games on WGN.Yes,channel 9 before it was a super station. That Hawks team won games 3-2.2-1.1-0.They didn't have much offense, but the games were always exciting.Magnuson won the city over by never being afraid to gat into a fight with an opposing defenseman.Never mind the fact he normally got his brains beat in.Magnuson was pure Chicago at that time.A tough, hard nosed competitor who threw himself in the way of a blistering shot so "Tony O" wouldn't have to make that tough of a save. This team sickens me.To think they are one of the "original 6" NHL teams is sad. Now,the Hawks have to sell airtime to WSCR.That's right. They pay the Score to air their games. It should be the other way around. The Wirtz family keeps digging this franchise deeper and deeper into the ground. Could they someday be contracted?? We'll see.

The Critic
Hey, say what you want about the Wings and Blues, but both teams' ownership wants to win WAY THE f*** MORE than the Worst Family does! The Wings have had EVERY BIT as many injuries to their players as the SlackHawks have, but the Wings keep winning while the Slacks win ONE out of their last 19 games! WHY???? Because the Red Wings have more than 3 or 4 decent players, that's why! ( and saying 3 or 4 is being a little generous, btw ) And saying "Dead Things" and "Detroit Sucks" until you're blue in the face will NOT change the fact that theirs is a better organ-I-zation than the Slacks, from the owner all the way down to their 4th line checking left winger. Their fans don't have to ask their Dads what it's like to win a Stanley Cup. If the Slacks weren't an Original Six team, they'd probably be sold off and playing in Portland right now...but WHAT A NICE UNIFORM!!!!! so f***ing what? Slackhawk apologists whine about how you shouldn support the team even when things aren't going well, but the management brought this whole mess on themselves. Dollar Bill ran all his good players outta town the moment they asked for what they were worth and look at whats left. The word is out about this team too. No superstar player in his right mind would want to play here these days and I cant say I blame them. This team is done for. When you bury the Slackhawks after the lockout meltdown you can write on their tombstone "Died for a few dollars more".
cwsox
Chicago conceived, born, and raised and I knew Black Hawks players as a kid but never cared for th Hawks at all, Wirtz was an asshole and I saw that at age 5 I went with the Wings by default when I moved to Michigan and hey, the owners care - and the fans I know are cool too now some of my friends despise the Wings and I don;t despise the Hawks, I just pity their fans because managemnet and ownership is so inept it makes JR look ept
southsider2k5
The Hawks are essentially skating the Norfolk Admirals against the best the NHL has to offer. What did people expect. When you are missing about your half dozen best players, you don't have a chance to win in this league.
The Critic
The Hawks are essentially skating the Norfolk Admirals against the best the NHL has to offer. What did people expect. When you are missing about your half dozen best players, you don't have a chance to win in this league. That's exactly what they want fans to think - but the fact is, if all those players were back, they'd still be mediocre at best. Sutter does a good job of getting the guys to play hard, but the harsh reality is that the talent just is not there. They are not worthy of my support, and they will not get it. I'm still amazed at how quickly they soured me - I had season tickets at the Stadium ( 2nd balcony, the ONLY place to be ), then I dropped them because I didn't like the view from the upper stretches of the UC, but I still went to 10-15 games per season. It's been two years now and counting since the last time I wasted money on this team, and I'd rather go to a Wolves game any day of the week. At least the Wolves' minor-leaguers are SUPPOSED to be minor-leaguers!
