maggsmaggs
They did so to a 3-yera deal worth 12 million, I don't think the Sox could have offered that kind of money to him. Now the A's staff looks awesome with Zito, Mulder, Hudson, Redman and Harden. WOW!! Billy Beane working his magic again.
southsider2k5
Wow. Without a doubt that is the best rotation in all of baseball.
bigred3535
It was kind of a pipe dream that KW would sign someone decent at a low price anyway. I do think Beane might have overpaid for Redman though. Last year was by far his best, so I don't think he can be necessarily counted on to do the same thing again. I think he does have the potential to do it again, but that's a lot of money for a team like Oakland, too, especially one that's going to have to try to re-sign their big three in a couple years. Redman now makes more than Zito and Mulder combined.
DBAHO
If that's the case, I think we should go afta Jayson Duroscher who was in their rotation last year. I think he's still pretty young, and KW mite be able to pull a good deal for him.
BrandoFan
I thought Billy would hypnotize Redman (especially in light of the latter's pitiful excuse for playoff performance) as he did Mulder into signing for something like 2-year/4.5 deal plus signing bonus. I guess Billy's magical spinning umbrella doesn't work anymore.
CaliSoxFan
Ya, that rotation is great, but talk out of Oakland is harden may go to the pen. Their bullpen isn't that great, and the sports stations, at least the day aurther rhodes was signed, was questioning the signing because it was for three years. In the past the team has been used a closer for one year and moved on, see Foulke and koch.
