LDF
i memory serves me right, tor offered him arbritation, so in essence, is he worth a 1 rounder we will lose if we sign him?
supernuke
He was non tendered by toronto i believe so it wouldn't cost us a pick.
LDF
He was non tendered by toronto i believe so it wouldn't cost us a pick. ok i will give way to you on this. i am not too sure, but still i think you may be wrong. lets assume that they did, is he worth the 1 rounder? the reason i am saying it this way, is b/c they must be the reason why not one team has had any serious discussion with him. Mathew
Because he is better than Rowand and likely not very expensive. Have any teams been rumoured to be looking at him at all?
LDF
Have any teams been rumoured to be looking at him at all? only a couple of teams. according to cbs rumor i think its was 1 or 2 teams.
mac9001
He was non tendered, meaning the Blue Jays dont get s*** and can't talk with him until May 1st.
LDF
He was non tendered, meaning the Blue Jays dont get s*** and can't talk with him until May 1st. great that is why i recanted on what i wrote, but that doesn't mean we can't go out and get him. a battle of rowand and cruz for the starting job will look great. this past winter showed that maybe joey B needs another yr in the minors. but imagine if cruz comes on and develops, that will make c lee tradeable. mac9001
I think Baltimore really wants him and if they dont sign I-Rod they'll have plenty of money to offer him a decent contract.
kj1832
I would love to see the Sox sign Cruz. Our options in center after Rowalnd and Brochard are slim. If Rowland doesn't totally recover from his accident and Brochard can't hit Major League pitching.......It would be nice to have Cruz as an option. baggio202
if we sign jose cruz id rather he become carlos "the lawn ornament in left field" lee's replacement...play the better defensive player between jose and rowand/borchard in CF and the other in LF...trade carlos off for help in another area..starting pitcher perhaps
mac9001
Carlos has very little trade value, there's almost no chance for him to get traded.

Mr. Showtime
They'll need Lee for next year when Frank leaves.
