DonkeyKongerko
One of the few CDs I have actually paid for in the past couple years is Rockin' the Suburbs.
Rex Kickass
He's a funny guy, but most of his music I find doesn't age well. If you are gonna get anything by Ben Folds, I would recommend the Ben Folds Five self titled debut album from 1995, clearly the best work they ever did as a trio. I would also recommend the nearly all instrumental Fear of Pop Vol.1, the song with William Shatner is one of the funniest pieces of music recorded in the 1990s. Cali
I only remember there one hit in the late 90's "Brick". They we're on SNL during that time and they f***ing blew. The singer was so off-key it was painful.
sox4lifeinPA
for someone that likes metal as much as you do, I have no doubts you don't like ben folds.... off key? as opposed to an "ON key" metal signer
The Critic
off key? as opposed to an "ON key" metal signer The difference is, if you have a thunderstorm going on behind you, you can kinda be a little ( or a lot ) off-key. If it's softer, piano-based music, the singer's going to stand out a bit more. For the record, I enjoyed what I've heard of Ben Folds on the radio, and he seems to have a good sense of humor from the interviews I've seen, but I wouldn't seek out his music, even by downloading. Cali
for someone that likes metal as much as you do, I have no doubts you don't like ben folds.... off key? as opposed to an "ON key" metal signer Well it's not like it's easy to scream your ass off every day on tour. It's just as hard as singing, and it's actually higher risk for your voice to go out. Randy Blythe of Lamb of God is a great example, he sounded damn perfect when I saw them live. It was incredible to hear.
