Spiff
Just hope he forgets to set his alarm and sleeps in again and somehow makes himself ineligible for next season Does FSU have any top notch qb recruits coming in? I have no idea really, I don't really pay attention to recruiting until signing day and even then I forget the names until the fall. Last year's class was solid, they always pull in a decent class, and with all the athletes they get they just need a QB who can play smart. Spiff
I checked quickly and they signed the #7 QB, and are leading for the #4; so they are in pretty good shape.

You gotta figure, as long as your a top school, you'll get at least a few blue chippers. Thats what pisses me off about ND. I keep reading that their recruiting class blows. At least my favorite team (Iowa) is building up an awesome program. Although they will be depending on a true sophmore qb who set Texas state records

I'd really like it if he were just a bit taller... How does Iowa's recruiting class look this year??? I know last year they lost a couple of recruits becuase Ferentz was flirting with the Jacksonville job. Hopefully he stays at Iowa and doesn't even interview for a NFL job. DBAHO
Portis is so freaking good. He's probably my favorite player to watch in the NFL. Too bad he played in the most boring playoff game of the year. Does any1 think that Mike Shanahan mite hav had enough in Denver now especially afta today's performance. I gotta feelin if he's offered da Nebraska job, he mite actually take it.

Supposed to be a strong class. I don't follow recruiting very much though. I usually only watch the guys on the team and maybe see something on ESPN and read it, otherwise I almost pay no attention. Although I do remember seeing that they supposed had a few of the top players in the country interested and thought to be committing to Iowa. Ferentz does a good job. DBAHO
Who does every1 actually think is goin to end up with da Nebraska job. I would of said Dave Wannstadt if he got fired by the Dolphins which I know BEGOOD would hav been proud of.

Heads22
Well, ISU got the top 2 RB's in the state of Iowa in Jason Scales and Greg Coleman from Iowa City. ISU still does remarkably well recruiting in the state, even if they do suck.

In this age of college athletic greed, that Nebraska would fire a coach who won about 70% of his games and went 9-3 last year, and now no one worth anything wants that job. Nebraska will not accept mediocrity, and mediocrity for them is losing to three Big 12 teams and not being the best team in their conference. If they went 8-4 but beat Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas State, I don't think you would have seen this. But they got slaughtered by Texas, beaten by Missouri, and beaten by Kansas State, and they would have been humiliated by Oklahoma. They were not among the best teams in the Big 12, making them mediocre, hence the reason Solich got the boot. I think the main reason they aren't getting a coach is because every candiate out there realizes that it will be a tough job turning Nebraska into a powerhouse once again, because their option offense will really not work. They really need a west coast offense or a run and gun offense installed for them to be competitive.

If I was Nebraska, I'd be lokoing at a couple of surprising candidates: Norm Chow -- USC offensive Coordinator -- not the best fit for the takent they have at Nebraska, but he is the BEST assistant available out there. It's not even close. He would be able to install a REAL passing game within a couple years. There would be some growing pains, but eventually he'd be attracting top notch talent an nebraska would be a national power again. Bill Snyder -- Head Coach, Kansas State -- Has devoloped a program at a school that's not really that well known nationally, all while runnning a very simillar offense to Nebraska. I'm sure he's locked up in a large contract -- plus he'd be leaving to a school in the same conference, same division. Both names aren't likely on Nebraska's list at all. But, makes you wonder why they even fired Solich in the first place.

My guess would be that he would end up recruiting stupid players.
