KipWellsFan
Did anyone watch the United States beat Canada today? It was a very disapointing day for many Canadians. Seemed like half of our University was depressed about the loss. Congrats to the Americans.

DBAHO
Think Seabrook's played for Canada ova there. Him and Babchuk will be 2 nice D-man in a couple of years which is exactly what the Blackhawks need.
southsider2k5
wow did anyone else see the game winner? Mark Andre Fluery stops a rolling puck and tries to clear it, it hits one of his defensemen and deflects into the net, game winning goal. Hawks look stacked in the minors, and with a lockout inevitable... they look like they might be one of the teams who are going to be real good after it's over. Eventhough I hate to admit it... I think that the hawks might have a pretty decent plan working.
kapkomet
I HATE the fact that they've been "posturing" for this for years. There are a lot of teams that will come out of this better then going in (CBA). But, he's sold his soul, absolutely ruined a once great franchise, and pissed thousands off for a long long time. The whole tv deal is BS. Look at the Cubs, you can thank WGN for that. They're a superstation team. I know, they've always been popular but it certainly helps with the exposure they got in the 80's. I have heard from multiple sources that when Wirtz passes on, that a home tv contract is already drawn up and will be signed. There's a couple of other interesting twists if/when ownership changes. I guess my point is there were 100 different ways to "posture" for the "new" NHL. This was by far the worst possible way. IF there's any glimmer, it is indeed that they have a LOT of young talent. Yah It was a pretty fluky goal but sometimes that's the way it goes. Which NHL team drafted Al Montoya? He seems like he could be quite a decent goalie in the future.
