Chisoxfn
Caught this in the Trib The Bulls may sign Johnson to a 10-day contract once they finalize a buyout on the contract of Jay Williams. … Does this mean his career with the Bulls is over? It mentioned that they will try to resign Linton after the buyout is done and that they won't have the money other teams will to get Charlie Ward. The Bulls also signed Dupree to replace Johnson. He was the 3rd leaning score in the NBADL,

He was the 3rd leaning score in the NBADL, No, they had been talking about coming to a settlement. I think it just means that his current contract with the bulls is gone. It gives em some salary room. Jay said that he will give the bulls first rights to talk to him when he's healed. Who is dupree btw?
greasywheels121
Wow...I saw a story on Jay during the holidays on ESPN....He seems to be getting better, that was really an unfortunate accident.
MurcieOne
Charlie Ward would be a nice pick up, I think he instantly would add some depth to a position where we are lite in. I mean He's gotta be better than Rick Brunson. Dupree seems like he's worth a shot... he's gotta be better than that brutal sob Linton Johnson. Was scoring like 16.9 a game though or something like that. THe Bulls hope he can add some offense. Its too bad they didn't forget about Rick Brunson and gave Mason a shot to do that. Maybe he can provide a spark though. I'm glad to know Jay coulds till come back to the Bulls, he's a good guy. I hope he gets better. I dunno where Jay fits in, but it sure does suck that this kid made ONE BIG MISTAKE... and now may never be that great PG that everyone thought he could become. To be 22(or 25, or in your 20s) and invincible. Aaron Rowand damn near killed himself crashing that bike, and now he gets a second chance. One mistake was all it took. It's unfortunate that it did happen to him. But if he wants back in, he will have to work his ass off to get back in, if he even can get to that point. Yeah But the Problem is Jay may never have his Biggest asset back.. His Speed. And Jay is not a big enough guard to not be quick. Dupree is a Small Forward. Still this team needs Scoring and Defense. Curry needs to get his ass in shape Quick. I bet by Next Season Fizer, Eddie Robinson, Are Gone. If we can Trade Crawford so be it. He's a soft player who settles for outside shots he doesn't have the Cojones to take the ball to the rack. He shot 0 free throws against the suns.. 0 for your shooting guard.... Sad. Chisoxfn
I think Skiles is starting to like Erob. I see Erob developing into a pretty solid player.
DBAHO
If Jay Will is bought out, I heard Orlando will be rite afta him, still think he's got a future if he can come back alrite.
MurcieOne
I think one thing needs to be clear, this isnt John Paxon being a prick, this is something both sides agreed on and it's in the best interest of both sides. Jay wants to still be a bull, and when he comes back I think he will be.

The Bulls could have voided that contract without any problems because of the clause that said JW wasn't supposed to be on a motorcycle. WHarris1
So we already signed Dupree? Will he be place on IR now or when Pip and Tyson get back?
southsider2k5
The Bulls need a scorer off of the bench badly. Getting back Pip and Tyson will move some guys back to the bench which will help.

AssHatSoxFan
i didnt realize that the depree guy was on LSU last year but I can atest to the fact that this guy could score hopefully he will turn out to be a better fit then Linton and to think we couldve had Hassell still
southsider2k5
Well I'll tell you what. Dupree had a hell of a first game 18 pts 8 rbs, 5 of them offensive. To put it in perspective, Linton Johnson had 29 points... in 18 games!
danman31
Dupree played like he had something to prove. Hopefully this won't be a 1 or 2 game thing.
Elcaballo45
Dupree was awesome for LSU, he was a 1st team SEC player if i recall.... Hopefully he keeps up this mad ballin!

DBAHO
If the Bulls finish with a top 5 pick in da draft, who do u guys want Paxson to take. Okafor would be a monster defensively for em.

They need scoring definately. Really they could use an offensive minded 3. Although a big man isn't a bad thing to look at either. After Curry and Chandler, they are old on the front line.
