Elcaballo45
Nick Smith was butta again tonight, scoring a career high 22 points, as he was 6-6 from the field(touched the rim maybe once tonight, mostly all nylon) and 9-9 from the charity stripe! Hell of a game, Dee played awesome, except for a couple of shots where he rushed it, and even Brian Randle got into the action with one hell of an authortive left handed stuff on a great pass from Dee.... Next up: Purdue who probably isnt too happy starting their Big 10 season 0-1 after losing to Iowa tonight, but Big 10 road wins are hard to come by. GO ILLINI! Lol.. oops.... it seemed like it was 9-9 from the field... i guess i read the box score backwards, but all his jumpers today were beautiful, i think the 3 that he made was the only one that barely curled in, he was damn solid today
kapkomet
Bein' from the south now, it's a lot more difficult for me to watch the Big Ten. I get the feelin' I'll get my fix here though. Who's predicted to win the conf. this year?

Who's predicted to win the conf. this year? I don't know who is predicted to win it but it looks to me to be down to Illinois and Wisconsin. You could possibly throw Purdue in there too. Elcaballo45
Right now, Wiscy and Illini are the favorites, but you cant forget Mich St. They had the toughest non conference schedule i think i have ever seen, so if they ever get on a roll, they might get the confidence they need. Winning on the road is still gonna be next to impossible, something about Big 10 arenas that make it impossible to play with crowd noise(Breslin, Kohl Center, both Assembly Halls, and Mackey Arena are the toughest). Long shots would be Purdue, Michigan and possibly Indiana, but they are absolutely struggling without George Leach as their rebounder/block man. I think at the end it will go 1. Illinois 2. Wisconsin 3. Mich St 4. Purdue 5. Michigan 6. Iowa 7. Ohio St 8. Minnesota 9. Indiana 10. Northwestern 11. Penn St The first 5 teams are my tourney teams as well, with Iowa and OSU just missing out... Go Illini!

Who's predicted to win the conf. this year? Either Illinois or Wisconson are the only teams that look worth a s***. Everyone else either has big holes, or just sucks. Sorry, MSU had a tough schedule but they have not looked impressive at all in any games and that includes their games against cupcakes. They barely beat Coppin State and they struggled vs. Bucknell. In order for a strong schedule to mean something it helps to actually win a game vs. a decent team. As for Indiana, they flat out suck. They better hope Josh Smith finds his way to campus next year. Right now I would say Illinois and Wisky are the favorites with Iowa and Michigan the other contenders. Big 10 is just bad this year. Elcaballo45
Thats my point, MSU has sucked against weaker opponents as well, but im saying if Izzo gets their attention, and finally gets the team to gel as one unit, this team has possiblilities. There is a reason they were ranked #4 in the country, and that prediction was so bad, but you got to think they will come together eventually and put a run together against what is, a very bad big 10 slate this year. Tolbert and co. will get it together, and im confident with my 3rd place finish for MSU in the big 10. Go ILLINI!
