bulokis
I caught just a bit of the interview. I heard him talked about a deal that would have sent Valentine to M's for Freddy Garcia but that didnt happen. Also he said the deal for Konerko and dodgers is still there but Evans cant make any moves because a new ownership might take over and Evans might be shown the door. If anybody else heard that interview, just add anything on it or correct me if I misunderstood some info.
DBAHO
Hopefully the Dodgers ownership gets settled quickly. It doesn't seem as if McCourt is goin to be able to buy the team since most of his money to buy it would come from loans. If that's the case, I still think Paulie goes to LA but not for Perez. Their pitching looks great for the future (jackson, miller, hanrahan (sp?) and theyve got some good young hitters in the minors as well. The only guy I can think of who they REALLY overpaid for is Driffort but they could have done better with their team if it wasn't for Evans. Actually, most of LA's s***ty contracts were in place when Evans arrived. Danny's major f*** up was Hundley. Most of the rest can be blamed on Kevin Malone. Shawn Green had a bad year just like Konerko. Yes, both are overpaid, but they are not "horrible" players. The dodgers management did not do a good job with ashby definitely. And Todd Hundley's been overpaid forever! (I'm still laughing how much the scrubs paid this guy ) What do teams see in hundley?

Dude, I just said both he and konerko are both OVERPAID. I'm trying to get the point across that they are not "horrible" players. Shawn Green is a good player who's been putting up decent #'s the last 3 seasons. He's prob. around c. lee type money maybe alittle more. Like Rex, said that was dodger management who screwed up the contracts.

SoxAce
and guess what the new owner would have to pay for, thats right all those horrible contracts that make decent players horrible players Thats like saying Maggs is a "horrible" player because he's being overpaid 14 million this season. I don't know if u think he is or not. I do not agree with that method. Horrible players are players who get these big contracts and are also bad with the bat and glove. I would call green and konerko underachievers. But since i know u'll post something else to back up your arguement, i'll agree with you. Lets not worry about the dodgers and worry about our own team. SoxFan562004
As a Dodgers fan I can say that Evans is not to blame 100%, the Hundley deal looked OK at first because Grudz and Karros had big contracts and were doing nothing LA for a year or two, the year with the Cubs for both was a comeback year. I do blame Evans for McGriff and the over all lack of offense last year, signing Ricky was not a legitimate move, they have enough young arms to trade one or two for a legitimate bat

(esp. in this smaller money market) if he was hitting .320-40-120 then prob.(maybe even more) but hey ur right
