YASNY
I'd say that they are both consistently good hitters. Maggs had a slight blip downward this past season. It happens. He'll be back up to .325 - 38 - 125 type numbers. Green was pitched around in LA all year. You can't hit it if they don't give you nothing to hit. And as I recall, both were off to rough starts at the beginning of the season. For both to finish still with pretty decent #'s shows that they are both consistant. DBAHO
I think Green was pretty banged up last year, hence why Dodger fans booed him and he didn't put up Maggs like numbers. But if he plays 1B for em this year, the Konerko deal is off for sure.

Unless LA acquires a Magglio type outfielder, Green will probably be in RF.

He won't cost ya any players or stud prosepcts like Maggs would, plus u'd prob get a lil bit betta production out of Vlad as well.

SoxAce
then send them maggs for there 2 top pitching prospects and then sign ponson or madux I think ponson is probably going to be off the market since someone posted that he and baltimore had a mutual agreement. No way maddux is comming here, ad i believe the dodger organization said that they would not trade away their top 2 prospects.
JoshPR
he is a good hitter but thats not the point i was trying to make, when i stated his contract. You said he wasn't consistent... Maybe you menat his contract is too big and IMO none is worth that much money. But he is consistent

Thanks for that piece of information YAS, I knew there was some reason he hasn't really been talkin to em. Baltimore's puttin up quite a power lineup with Viagra Boy, Vlad and Miggy all new additions now. I wonder if they'll trade for Jose as well. witesoxfan
Green was pitched around in LA all year. This and the fact that Dabby brought up about him being injured(which I believe he was....he had something wrong with his shoulder I believe) were the two main factors of him not having a good year. His main protection in the lineup was Jeromy Burnitz, an aged Robin Ventura, and a very inconsistent Adrian Beltre. I personally would make a trade of Maggs and Konerko for Green and Perez in a heartbeat, because when I think of what Green could do in Chicago....it is incredible. I could see him putting up .300 50 150 type numbers while playing a very good RF.

I wouldn't do a maggs n konerko for green and perez straight up. Add a prospect or two and maybe, because maggs is a better all around hitter than green (plus younger.) But I rather keep the OF's we have (lee rowand/reed maggs.)
