YASNY
Here's what it said about the Sox. "You can't choose your relatives, but Pale Hose fans desperately want a new dad. "If Jerry Reinsdorf disappeared, everything else is in place here to win," says Jason Gage, who operates the fan site soxnet.net. "He's the worst owner in baseball." Hard to disagree. The Sox don't win much (three postseason appearances since 1960) and the new Comiskey Park is a sterile nightmare. No wonder Reinsdorf gets the blame (see above). Still, things could be worse. "At least," Gage says, "the Cubs stink too." Here's the link Just click on the Sox. They are at #85.

witesoxfan
There is only one reason why the Cubs are higher than us. Because this poll was a jip. STD (Stadium Experience): Friendliness of environment; quality of game-day promotions The Cubs finished 8th in STD. Excuse me if I'm incorrect, but friendly? I know they call them the friendly confines, but when a lot of people are drunk, the bathrooms are crowded and what not else(as I have never been to Wrigley Field and I never plan on going), how can it be friendly? BTW....I like the fact that soxnet.net is getting some recognition....great job guys! Keep it up!

"How the hell did SoxNet get props from ESPN?" Good to see the work put forth by the mods on this board doesn't go all that unnoticed by big name network players like ESPN. BridgeportHeather
Way to go, Jason!!! I expect to see even more people flood these boards now that we've gotten more media recognition. This site beats the s*** out of the official site and that nonsense site WSI. Jason rulez, mon!
Molto
After all these year's, we are finally getting some respect. Jason is gonna love seeing his name and the site on ESPN when he gets back. He did a really good interview with the guy. I might have to promote him and make him the site's PR Director.
cwsox
these boards deserve all the propers that they can garner. I have come to love these boards, not only for the hard work that has gone in to them, but for the assistance that I have received from those who put these boards together. That assistance has shown that the prime motivation is to have a forum for things Sox, not to construct an ego structure to themselves. Maybe that is why I never liked WSI but am thrilled and honored to be a member here where Sox and Sox fans come first, not monuments to egos. Mathew
That list is horsecrap though. The D-Backs get a 1 for championships??? That don't make sense to me among 1000s of other things.
YASNY
What that list tells me is that the Chicago sports fan is a tough s.o.b. that expects better than what he is getting... from all the local teams. The Cubs at 83, the Sox at 85 and Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks coming in even lower than that. Of course, with the superbly wonderful collection of owners we have in Chicago, I'm sure that contributed greatly to low ratings. Sarcasm in green. LDF
this board most of the time has lively talk, new subjects and i feel a better tone of conversation going on most thread. whereas other boards has the same old tired talk and conversation. i get tired reading that dribble. i sometime go over there to read certain posters. they do have some great people whose loyalty is somewhat misplace................... but oh well. keep this up people!!!!!!! Got to really quick thank everyone out there who comes here to the board and reads the main page. This opportunity would never of happened without your support as well as word of mouth. This is just getting funner and funner every day.
BridgeportHeather
Now what would you think would be the funnest thing then, Jason? Carlos Lee hitting a walk-off Grand Slam to win the World Seires or Mark Buehrle pitching a complete game shutout to win the World Series
Chisoxfn
I'll go with the shutout, but I'll take a World Series win anyway it comes.
