MB story

Reading some of the posts on the MLB board, I came across a recent one that I was positive came from the Buehrle family, or a very close Buehrle family friend, to the effect that the actual contract offered by KW to MB was essentially the same contract that KW offered MB one year ago.

I picked up on that, posted that, and since then Ncorg and Dan the Get Up Guy have confirmed it. Since I know Ncorg has friends in the front office and GUG knows the Buehrles well, that is sufficient for me. I hope that when HSC checks these baords later she will also confirm this.

I am officially enraged at KW - angrier than I have ever been at WS management in my long life - not only for f***ing around with our #1 pitcher, playing penny ante mind games with our outstanding pitcher, but for being such a goddamned liar to imply that he offered MB millions when in fact he did not.

Tomorrow I am calling the front office to b**** and I hope others do the same. MB is our pitcher and how dare that f***ing lying asshole KW lay these insulting tactics on MB.

buehrle crossed the fuhrer last year whe he rejected his offer...KW then renewed his contract at 15k less thn buehrle made the year before to teach the boy a lesson...buehrle got on KW's s***list and we all know what happens when you do that...i beginning to believe the colon deal was made with the thoughts of signing him to a long term deal then moving buehrle...maybe as soon as july of this year if the sox are out of it like the last 2 years...

KW doesnt forgive or forget...

a fair contract to buehrle imo would be 3 years at 18 million...5 million this year , 6 next , the 7 the final year....think he would accept that if KW wasnt such a dick???...

This surprises you?

This is the same guy that traded an unhealthy Mike Sirotka to the Blue Jays for David Wells, and he said "he didn't know." This is the same guy that said "You can't spend a dollar if you only have 50 cents." This is the same douchebag that saved the organization $15,000 by taking it off Buehrle's contract. This is that same clown.

I was sure of it all along.....if he doesn't offer Buehrle a contract at the end of this year worth millions and him staying in the organization, I am going to be pissed. Williams obviously doesn't like Buehrle....otherwise, he wouldn't have taken that $15,000 off last year, and he wouldn't have lied about the s*** he said about it this year.

As was I. First I heard of the "supposed" deal was from KW approximately one month ago when he did that sit-in interview with Jiggetts on the SCORE and reported that he and the White Sox offered him "Zito-type dollars" and then some. If this was the case, Buehrle would have been a fool to turn down an offer like that..... whether he liked KW or wanted to be traded to St. Louis or what have you. The fact that KW claimed that this offer was on the table and Buehrle supposedly rejected it threw up a red flag with me. I'm not surprised.

Is anybody going to be @ Sox fest, at all the seminars in which Kenny Williams is going to be there, so we can see the question and answer on the PC screen?

by now you guys shouldnt expect any better from him. I wont be surprised to see beurhle shipped and knowing kw, he wil get absolute s*** in return. Thats the kind of things that make him an ass when he puts his personal feelings towars a player ahead of the sake of the team. This organization needs someone less selfish and who wants to win, some younger blood.

C.W. Sox, if your online and active, go on ur SN. Also, what is M-Buehrle's "families" post name?

the name is 5986 and something HSC said in another thread tipped me off and I went back and read the thread entitled something like 3 things wrong with Buehrle signing and I came upon the following.

Since I happen to know who was at the opening day tailgate because I was there and spoke to Mark's brother Jason, his other brother whose name I forget, and Mr. Buehrle, and because I could connect a few other details in the posts to things I knew (ie SoxFest and Dan and the Buehrle's favorite beer), that is how I figured the source of this post. And then I went and confirmed it.

And maybe this explains why HSC has been so angry at KW...

The post from the MLB boards:

Well Hot, I have to agree with you! You know who I am and I know who you are. If you have a question in your mind, let me say this. Don't forget the Busch cuz I'm gonna drink some with ya when we tailgate on opening day. Tell Dan that I want to buy him another sandwich at the Taste of Chicago again this year.

Okay now, on to the meat and tater's of this reply. For starters, I know where the author of every negative comment in here about Mark came from. They pulled it out of their gluteus maximus. I'm going to combine a number of comments here regarding some other comments.

For one, KW is not negotiating with Mark. The Sox have a person on staff just for that. Mark does have an agent, not a lawyer. The reason Mark hasn't signed is because the contract offered by the Sox is basically the same as last year. It's like offering a kid two quarters one year and five dimes the next. I can say this with 100% accuracy of the facts...not fiction and you know I can.

Someone said the Sox saved $15,000 when they screwed Mark last year. Well, that person was right. Anyone that knows anything about baseball knows the Sox doesn't want to spend the money for an all around quality team. They never have and never will as long as the current "Powers to be" are in control. It doesn't take someone with a degree to figure out why Michael Jordon isn't with the Bulls anymore. It's for the same reason Mark hasn't signed. So while they saved $15,000, they lost in the long run.

But wanna know something? Even though Mark got the short end of the stick for the past two years, he still went out there and gave it 101% for the pure love of the game and for the fans of Chicago...and baseball in general. Anyone who says different is a real, complete and total dork and doesn't qualify for a spot on the roster of "real" baseball fans simply because they are nothing but jerks.

Mark isn't arrogant as some have suggested. I defy anyone who dare say this to go one on one with me (you know I'll win too, don't ya, lol). I think people's problem is they can't stand to see someone as good as Mark do what he does so well - pitch like nothing Chicago has seen for a long, long time. I'll be willing to bet that the dummies that say Mark isn't worth it, couldn't throw a bar of soap in a straight line from one end of their bathtub to the other. Yet these are the same idiots that will boo Mark, or another quality pitcher when they have a bad day. I know, why don't these people apply for a position of pitching coach? They seem to know everything about baseball there is to know, so I'm sure they'd be a real "####"et to the team.

Hot, you know what I'm saying it right and true. I wouldn't say these things unless I was willing AND able to back it up with fact, which is much unlike the falicies of those who write negative things about Mark.

See ya opening day and again...have the Busch ready!

Kenny Williams' Court Session is in order:

Judge Wsc 425:KW, you and your partner, JR, are on trial for embezzelment. I will now call Mark Buehrle to the stand.

Mark please sit down.

Mark: I promise to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god.

Judge Wsc 425: Guards please take KW, tell him to wear that flamer turtle neck, so we can make fun of him. Anyway, Mark, please answer the questions by the prosecutor, The Get Up Guy.

Get Up Guy: Mark, please give me the story of your negotiations.

Mark: Well my momma says, my my my momma says dat,

No way should this story be believed unless Buehrle's agent makes an official statement to the press.

For one thing, if this story was true, it doesn't make sense that there hasn't been an official public reply from Buehrle's side (it's been over a month since KW publicly said he made that offer).

If there has been an official reply, please correct me.

Yeah, I guess...but if it's true then Buehrle has one of the worst agents in pro sports.

If KW publically says he offered 3 years for Zito money (something million I forget), and he really only offered $315,000 (last year's contract), then Buehrle's agent should have publicly reamed him.

This story just doesn't add up - unless at some point before the season Buehrle's agent goes public and burns KW.

Listen, at some point Buehrle's going to have to sign something or the automatic increase will go into effect again.

Hmmmm....maybe KW offered both - listen take this three year deal or I'm only offering you one year at this other amount - hoping to threaten him into an amount that he thinks will be lower than what MB will make in arbitration next year.

Ok, but that's what this thread was about - KW lying.

The issue of Buehrle turning down the offer is another topic.

The only people who know is Williams and Buehrles' camp. When one side calls the other a liar in public, I'll care. Until then this is totally stupid.

if anyone from the mark b camp refutes this, do you honestly think that mark b would not be traded.

I'd move him myself but not this season. I'd see what kind of year he has, and how far the team gets.

No, I don't think he would be traded if he came out and said the offer was the same as last year. I'm sure someone will ask him at SoxFest.
