MurcieOne
I've heard that Eddie George is out in Tennessee after this season, would you like to see the former Ohio State standout running for the bears next fall?

I think A-Train is our man even though nobody else does. I'm not making him out to be Walter Payton or anything but when he wasnt hurt he has been very consistent and I think hes our man. DBAHO
Apparently the Titans owe him 7 million for next year. They'll offa him 2 othawise he'll get cut. He's too much of a risk for da Bears and he's too much like Anthony Thomas. Thomas is fine but da Bears need a change of pace back like a Tony Fisher or Deshuan Foster who can bring up a nice gain now and then. Elcaballo45
Yeah, if i was a bears fan id want to keep A-Train too, cause Eddie is getting old, and he also owns the record for average attempts per game throughout his career. Im not sure he can keep that up... I know Dillon is gonna be available, cause i know after week 10 he wanted to be traded to Dallas, so im sure he's gonna be out of Cincy next year, especially since they have Rudi Johnson who sure broke out this year. Ur a fellow Cowboys fan aren't u Caballo. Would u prefer da boys draft a RB like a Kevin Jones or a Stephan Jackson, or sign a free agent like a Curtis Martin, Duce Staley or Corey Dillion. Also, do u think they should sign Mark Brunell as a veteran QB if Carter doesn't improve?
MurcieOne
Eddie George is not OLD... he's 30, not exactly young, but he's got a good 3-4 years left in his legs. He's not like Anthony Thomas, because when he's on the field, the guy is a gladiator, last week against the ravens was a sight to see. I also think he's better than Train because he can catch the ball outta the backfield, something Thomas only dreams about. I think it was Jerry Angelo who called anthony Thomas "not a special player." Harsh words... but I think it's hard to not agree with em. Im not saying Eddie George is the end all be all... But I do think he offers certain skills that no other running back on our roster can claim to have.

Corey Dillion is only year younger than George, and is a complete headcase. I'd take 10 Eddie George's before I'd take 1 Corey Dillon. southsider2k5
Eddie George is pretty beat up. Although I would definately take him over Corey Dillon. Plus the Bears pretty well avoid guys who have problems.

But I do think he offers certain skills that no other running back on our roster can claim to have. What I like about Eddie George is that 1 statistic that no one has ever done since Jim Brown. (as a running back) he has NEVER MISSED AN NFL GAME. You can count on him to be out there everyday and give you pretty decent numbers. I would like to see Brock Forsey as our running back next year. For some reason, A-train dosen't excite me much.. All the rookies on the bears excite me. (Wade, Forsey, Grossy, Briggs, Tillman, Gage, Haynes etc..) I think the bears should build the future around these studs. Get rid of Terrell and White (who I absolutely hated cause he couldn't catch a beachball thrown deep) and build around Booker, Gage(grossy's favorite receiver) and Wade as recievers. baggio202
bears dont need to spend money on an eddie george at this point..the 0 - line this year was in complete shambles after week 1...we need a couple of bad ass lineman to protect our skinny little QB of the future or he'll go the same route as cade mcnown... Best post of this thread. A-Train is decent, at least. We can live with him for another year if we have to. Gotta protect Grossman though.
