Gene Honda Civic
I know this is going to start a "discussion".... so I figured why not start the topic Forbes Article Stupid Yahoo! link CNN article and just to be fair and balanced... here's what Faux News has to say about it. FlaSoxxJim
No argument here. Yep, it's old news for anyone who has wanted to know it. Thanks for the links, hope everyone takes the time to look at a couple of them.
Flash Tizzle
The real question is what does APU think about this development? Members on the AOL message boards are calling for Bush to be impeached....... And just posted on CNN is a story of how Danish troops may of found mortars containing Chemical agents. I'm not one for a conspiracy, but it seems like a HELL of a time for this finding to surface.

Members on the AOL message boards are calling for Bush to be impeached....... I'm not a fan of Bush, the president that is, but even I think that's a little much. The fact that bush wanted a war against Iraq is not a new one. The bigger story is someone actually coming out and saying it.... Let me get the Republican response ready: He's a heretic, a traitor, and Un-american. And just posted on CNN is a story of how Danish troops may HAVE found mortars containing Chemical agents. I'm not one for a conspiracy, but it seems like a HELL of a time for this finding to surface. I saw that one too. What's funny though, we're over there searching for WMD's and have found nothing, those crazy danes find some blister gas while not trying. Go denamark... /proud of my Danish Heritage. Gene Honda Civic
I don't really have anything against Fox News. Not specifically at least... All media outlets have a bias of some kind... They get paid to, through sponsors, In one of those other MONSTER threads, my only responce was that you should read many sources and form you own opinion. Don't rely on one source for "news". I don't; I know some here do. As Television, I prefer watching FoxNews than the other sources.

NUKE_CLEVELAND
Let me get the Republican response ready: He's a heretic, a traitor, and Un-american. Why the stereotype of Republicans? O'neil was a good guy who had a tiff with Bush & got fired thats it. Writing what was common knowlege in his book doesn't make him a traitor or a heretic or any of those other silly words you tried to put in my mouth. Nice try though. But I'll just sit back and wait... I wouldn't be suprised if any of those things were said about him. We need light green text on this board... southsider2k5
I just found this article regarding the fallout from the whole O'neil thing. Turns out Bush even said that he wanted to take down Saddam during the debates, as well as many key democrats saying the samething. Plus Bill Clinton saying that he also felt that Saddam had WMD's. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3395977/
IlliniBob72
This is nothing new. Did anyone really not know that Saddam and the U.S. would come to blows eventually? Hell, Clinton was bombing them every other month. There are plans in the works for every contingency with many different foes. It is no surprise that Iraq and Saddam would have been foremost among them. France and Germany had war plans for each other over a full decade before WWI began. It is no surprise that Iraq and Saddam would have been foremost among them. France and Germany had war plans for each other over a full decade before WWI began. Illini, the no-fly zone enforcement bombings by the US/UK were every few days. [it's a lot more bombing than every few months...I did a lot of research on it for a couple papers I had to write: It was on average weekly to bi-weekly] And Clinton, there was no hope in Clinton. As my favorite comedian/philosopher Bill Hicks said in one of his bits: "Clinton? There's no hope in that guy. I knew he became one of the boys when he shot 22 $3 million each cruise missiles into Iraq killing 6 innocent people in retaliation for the supposed attempt on George Bush's life by Saddam Hussein. I have a better idea. Why don't we kill Bush and then tell the Iraqis 'That's how you do it you f***ers! Don't f*** with us!' And if Bush is killed, there's no loss of innocent life." Also, during the 2000 debate, as the Daily Show showed when they had President Bush vs Governor Bush in a debate, Bush said that he would not use the military for nation building. Also, the morning of 9/11 before we knew who attacked us, Rummy wanted us to go strike Iraq for it, even if they were not responsible...or so says ABC News. But why attack Iraq when we can get a base on the moon?
