Press Release RE: Soxfest Players

Cali

Recommended Posts

Saturday evening, hotel guests and SoxFest attendees are invited to stay for a party featuring a Beatles cover band, Twist and Shout, with Kelly Wunsch and Jack McDowell scheduled to make a guest appearance. For more information or to make hotel reservations, call the SoxFest hotline at (312) 565-0769. For more details, visit whitesox.com or call the White Sox at (312) 674-1000.

It's too bad pa won't be there.

And actually I have seen Twist and Shout a few times now. They are top notch when it comes to tribute bands. They did a great show two years ago, where they played the entire 1964 Comiskey Park concert. It was good stuff, and I highly recommend any Beatles fans who have not seen these guys to go. It is a great time.

Pass. We have a group going out to dinner and Jilly's after the days activities. Mike... you and Angie should join us for that. I'm sure you'd enjoy the company...

We might just do that... I do have to talk to the boss first though.

Just got word that it's Loaiza and LaMarr Hoyt. Oh joy!!

LOL, why would that be a private session. Loaiza signs for everyone at every home game. What a joke. Guess I'll have to find Mark B around the hotel for some signage.

Steff, from your experience, are there any guys that would be tough to get to sign?

I don't get them the conventional way.. but if I had to guess none of them are too difficult to get. That's pretty much what they are there for. Try to make sure getting them while still IN the fest though.. once they go into the bar they really don't want to be bothered. Are you going to be joining us in the bar..?

Frank and Maggs are the hardest.  Their lines fill up way before they start signing.  you have to get their early for them.  Everyone else isn't too bad.

Oh gosh.. I didn't even think about the waiting in line. I would never do that. I'd wait till they wer done and catch them walking to or from. It doesn't hurt to have a hot chick with you either.. LOL

I've already got Frank on a ball and Mags on a mini Sox helmet.

I've got several Buehrle sigs as well, I just wanna get him to sign the jersey I got for Christmas so I can get it framed to hang in my house.

Yeah, it shouldn't be too bad then. Just a guess, but I would bet ELo will be among the hardest to get this year, just based on the year he had last year, and the fact he has never been to a Soxfest. But that is just a guess.
