Gene Honda Civic
Syracuse played a weak schedule last year, didn't really hurt them in the long run... i conceded that a team could get hot, but they did get lucky by getting to face 3 teams from the big 12 who acted as if they had never seen a zone defense... They shouldn't have gotten out of the first round, the refs gave them the victory over manhattan.

Wow cheat, you got your stats up to date, even remembering who Syracuse played in the 1st round(Manhatten). But what nobody has mentioned so far is that Providence is actually a great team, and they proved it in a wouping over Illinois, a bulls*** call against Texas away from them winning that one, and todays win over UConn. Ryan Gomes should be mentioned as a top wooden award nominee right now, because he is playing lights out this year. sighh, and of course, go illini! Last year Syracuse both won me and lost me NCAA pools.... I didn't have them figured out, I thought their regional was by far the weakest, but I didn't know which syracuse team would show up... I picked Manhattan ove the 'Cuse in one of them, and in the other I had Syracuse in the final four. So I remember that stuff... Like in 2000 when I had Butler in the sweet 16 and were beating Florida, in the opening round, all game, and Mike Miller hit that terrible off-balance runner as time expired... I never forget those. as for Providence... They've been impressive this year... Road wins at Virginia and Conneticut, destroying Illinois on a nuetral court, and a tough overtime loss to Texas, they're going to be a team to watch out for in March. They're the highest ranked Big East team in the RPI.
greasywheels121
Kind of a bittersweet game...MSU can tie for the Big Ten lead along w/ IU and Wisconsin, but I don't want to see Purdue win......MSU has come back from a halftime deficit to take the lead 58-54 w/ 4:10 left in the 2nd half. greasywheels121
Purdue ties it w/ 8 seconds left at 62-62...and MSU dishes out to the corner for the 3...and the ball gets stuck on the rim! Jump ball...MSU ball...and they miss the shot to win it at the buzzer....Going to OT

My hatred for Notre Dame continues, i hope they lose every game out. I personally think that Chris Thomas should have went to the NBA last year, but i dont think his value has dropped any from last year. Notre Dame=Notre Done. 9-6 record overall. 0-4 vs Top 25 teams this year. No big wins yet. They had better get on their horse or they will watching on TV during March. Mike Boddicker splits a pair of free throws that could have tied the game for Texas with 4.1 seconds left in the game. Ronald Ross hits the front end of a one and one and now Texas is going to try to ice him. 3.2 secs left, Tech by 2 54-52. Ross has one more freebie. Interesting set play. TX throws the ball to half court and calls an immediate TO with 2.6 sec left. Now they inbound there. Finally they are out of TO's Mouton hit a 3 at the buzzer to send it to OT

Texas does have the expierence in OT this year.

They came back by pounding it inside with that mosterous front line of Texas, and Tech can't do a damned thing about it.

greasywheels121
Oh I know...It's really reminding me of IU this season. They have trouble stopping anything inside, unless Leach is in the game. That is what brought Minnesota back into that game Saturday; we had to ice Leach w/ the 3 fouls all 2nd half.

I have a friend who hopped on their bandwagon in the 90's; it'll be nice to rub it in some.
