YASNY
Koch was the rolaids relief man of the year in 2002. Didnt look like a bad trade then. Im counting on Koch coming back this year and regaining his form from 2 yrs. ago and Cotts could push this deal in the sox favor if he pans out. Yes, this still could end up being very much in our favor. The final outcome of this trade is not determined yet.

They don't have anything left to show for it...we still have two pieces and one that is very hyped.

The burden of proof is on Koch. Personally I look at Marte as having to assume the closer role this season, not that I have a problem with that. It's almost a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" type of thing.

Rex Hudler
They don't have anything left to show for it...we still have two pieces and one that is very hyped. The problem is, Koch was brought in to give the Sox a shot at the WS last year. Even if he bounces back this year, if the Sox don't make the playoffs, this trade has to be seen as a failure based on its original intention, regardless of what Cotts does. Just like every other trade the Sox have made since 1917.
