jasonxctf
Who would you rather see as our #5 starter coming out of Spring Training. 1) Jon Rauch 2) Danny Wright 3) Neal Cotts 4) Robert Person 5) Other (and if so.. who?) I'm going to go with Jon Rauch.. i just think he could really dominate if he got over his Major League jitters.
winninguglyin83
another vote for Rauch

maggsmaggs
I would like to see, Person just because he is a proven veteran. This is only if he is healthy. If he isn't healhty I wouldliketo see Cotts get another chance.
southsider2k5
I don't care which one it is but this is Danny Wrights make or break season IMO. I really hope they use him out of the pen. I think that is the best place for him. Scho will most likely be the #4 and it will be interesting to see who emerges as the #5. Ideally I would like to see Person emerge as healthy and use Cotts or Rauch as the #5 while keeping Scho in the pen where he belongs. Wright will be in the pen. Shoney will be the 4th starter most likely.
Rex Hudler
I don't care who it is as long as they get the job done. I am not convinced Schoenweis will last long in the rotation, but I can't tell you who would be the better option right now. Pacheco and Diaz will both get looks in ST as well. The Critic
I have a feeling that they'll look through the dumpster and pick out some battle-weary, cheap, used-up veteran arm to compete for the #5 slot. Not sure who it might be, but there are a bunch of oldsters who fit that description out there. I'd rather they tried a couple of the young'uns such as Rauch, Cotts or whoever in that spot at first, to see if they have anything to offer. I don't really see Rauch dominating anyone, though - I'd be happy with "servicable" or "innings eater" out of him at this point. And I also believe that Dan Wright should work out of the pen. SuperSteve
Schoewenweis...I cannot see KW not bringing in someone whether by FA or via trade who will be our 4th starter...which would move Show down a slot.
SoxAce
Cotts, or even Wing, just because I want a good prospect to give it a try.
Soxbadger
Preferablly Scho or Person will be in the 5th or 4th spot, unless Rauch, Pacheo, Diaz, or Cotts just flat out beat them in Spring Training. If not, then put the veterans in the rotation and hope that they keep us close in games, and our offense can keep us above .500 until the All Star break where we trade for another starter. Id really like to see some of these starters get some reps at AAA, so they feel more confident going to the big league club. SB
YASNY
I say let them battle it out for both the 4 & 5 spots and see who comes out on top.
baggio202
i cant even remember his name but he pitched for us last year as a spot starter...he was a soft tossing lefty kinda like mark buehrle..i cant for the kife of me remember his name and dont even know if he is still in our system but he did seem to have a pretty good idea of what he was trying to do who the hell was that??? CWSOX45
Everyone seems to be forgetting about Josh Stewart. I think Josh did a pretty good job in the limited action we saw from him last year. I'd prefer to see Rauch in that 5 hole, the last few games he had with us in 2002 were pretty solid. Especially that one outing against the Twins were he only surrendered 2 runs and lost 2-1. Texsox
I'm still thinking Rauch is going to find success in the bullpen not as a starter. I would feel a lot better about this season if we were wondering what to do with these guys because we had a solid 1-5.
fattyguy78
I'm gonna go with the Rule 5 picks....Grilli and Campos....Grilli is supposed to be good and may put up good numbers and Campos was lights out in the Mexican league..10-2 with like 2.1 era..i think they wil contend for the job as well
NUKE_CLEVELAND
Mike "Cy Young" Porzio Hell, if we're going to bring him in there why not go find what gas station Jamie Navarro is working at and get him.
aboz56
Porzio signed with the Indians I believe. And please, don't even mention the thought of Josh Stewart starting a game for the White Sox again. The thought sickens me. :puke

aboz56
IS Stewart even healthy? I know he was having major problems after taking that line drive. Healthy, unhealthy, whatever he is, he isn't the solution. Consider seeing Josh Stewart on the Sox roster a sign that we aren't going to be competitive this season. israel4ever
I nominate myself as the 5th starter. My "fastball" can't break a pane of glass, and my "breaking stuff" doesn't break...but, I'll work for the minimum (so I know KW and JR will have an interest!), and I don't need a long-term deal. Call me KW!!!

Consider seeing Josh Stewart on the Sox roster a sign that we aren't going to be competitive this season. I think we would have had more than 4 wins from our #5 slot last year if Stewart would not have been injured. Besides, aboz, give the kid a break. He's a Kentuckian.
