Emeka Okefor...

Recommended Posts

I had to start a thread on this man, he's freaking awesome, after that sequence where he just blocked a would be lay up, leading to a 3 pointer by Gordon. He already has 26 points and he's a human rejection machine, much like Ken Johnson was for Ohio St. UCONN up 1 right now, 70-69.

He's one of the best in college ball, but he does get a lot of respect from the refs offensively and defensively.  He didn't get his first foul until 14:30 or so of the second half.

Yeah, good point, I still think that May should get more looks down low. He has the softest hands in the game for a man his size, but about Okefor, i didnt realize how good of a post game he had to go with his defensive skills. Just great timing on everything and totally changes how you would design an offensive scheme against UConn with him in the middle.

Hey Spiff, i dont know if your too familiar with the movie "Friday" but doesnt Josh Boone look like the ratty ass girl with braided hair that keeps begging for weed and then Devo ends up hitting her at the end.

I know what it is, haven't seen in it but Boone definitely does have some of the rattiest hair I've ever seen. It's like a living thing on top of his head.

Okeafor could potentially be a Bull next season, especially if they keep playing like crap.  He could be a real force at the power forward slot.

I only wish he was a little bit taller so he could play center in the pro's cos the Magic really need a defensive stud like him.

That would be my plan Mark. I think Okeafor and Chandler are talented enough to be very athletic and ocassionally guard the other teams small forward.

The huge dillema with this is you still have Davis, Fizer and Jerome Williams on the sidelines although I have a feeling both Williams and Fizer will be moved at some point.

And then I really like Erob off the bench and he can come in and play against the 3, plus you have Pippen as well off the bench. Maybe you use Erob on the 2 with Pippen on the 3. Either way I think it would be a very productive defensive team, the question is whether it would score the points.

As long as Chandler can get healthy, I think he will contribute around 15 a game. His offensive game is clearly improving and Curry played pretty good yesterday. I really think Skiles is going to get him turned around.

The big if is Crawford. I could really see him dealt pretty soon, with a contract in the mix, I'm thinking the junkyard dog and they will get a sg or sf in return. Just a hunch.

Jason, if they deal Crawford who would they go after you think?  Any hunches?  :D

My guess would be Antwan Jamisson. I think the move would make sense if they could swing some type of 3 way deal with the Mavs. My guess is that Erob would go but I'd rather see Jerome Williams dealt along with Crawford and Fizer could go as well.

Cool, thanks man.  Sounds pretty interesting.  I wonder if the Bulls are thinking the same thing as you.

Doubt it, but I do think they will make at least one move, I'd rather see the Bulls get a young cheaper player, but I really don't know who the heck is on the trade block.

Like I said, I wouldn't be upset with Okafor, but the Bulls are sadly in need of a scorer.  They need a Jamir Nelson or Rashard McCants type of guy who can put 25 pts a night up consistantly (hello Jamal Crawford and Eddy Curry?)

Hey, Jamal had a good season so far, i mean, who expected Jamal to score 40 + earlier this year. He's a point guard for god sakes, so its not like you should expect him to score 20+ every game anyway. But what i do expect from jamal is 100 percent effort everytime out, because he's been lazy every so often, and thats when you see his turnovers and bad shot selection go up.

Jamal isn't the one anymore. Hinrich has been starting at the point for the last 25 games or so. Jamal is the two now, and that is his role to go out and score 18-20 a night CONSISTANTLY. After they traded Jalen, that is Jamal's job now. Instead he will score 25 one night, and then 5 the next. And that is a product of his guts. He seems to have very little inner fire, and that is what scares me about him.
