Guest JimH
In the article about Robert Person on the White Sox web site, it states the spring training invitee list will be released "by Monday", so it should be sometime today.
JDsDirtySox
One guy I wouldn't mind seeing invited to Spring Training would be Shawn Estes. He hasn't signed with anyone yet, and he could be a decent Left Handed #5.

It was funny when he sucked for the Cubs - it would not be funny to watch him suck with the Sox. There were lots of FA pitchers I wanted the Sox to sign, he was NOT one of them. I would honestly give him an invite to ST, and see if he can show anything.

aboz56
How about Jose Paniagua?

maggsmaggs
Yeah who cares if Estes pitches well he be with s int he majors, if not since its a minor league deal, we owe him nothing. It's win win, not something usually said for the White Sox.

Chisoxfn
No problem if they get Estes and he actually earns a 5th spot in the rotation. Heck, even if you had the Estes last season, you could honestly say he would of been more productive then what the Sox were rolling out every 5th day last season. I doubt Estes will find his form from a few years ago when he was one of the better lefties in the majors, but why not give him a chance to prove himself in spring. I don't see the harm of it. I have an irrational hatred for a s***ty starter who won't even attempt to help his team out of the bullpen because he "wouldn't even know how to warm up as a reliever". ( Dusty Baylor's hilarious line defending Estes' refusal to relieve ) I know nobody cares ( hell, I wouldn't care if I weren't me ), but if Worstest is wearing a Sox uniform coming out of ST, I'm gone til he is. Can't watch him - I refuse. Sorry.
Rex Hudler
I agree that Estes would be a bad choice.
