What about Robert Kilroy-Silk, a former Parlamenteer,  being censored by BBC and investigated for racial conflict agitation saying that Arabs/Muslims have not contributed to the world in any meaningful way, are all uneducated Jew-hating suicide-bombing limb-amputators and women oppressors.......all the while professor Tom Polin, a poet who charges exorbitant fees for speaking in Harvard among other venues, gave an inteview to an Egyptian paper Al-Akhram where he wasted no time:  "[Jews living in Gaza, Samaria and Judea] are Nazis who should be executed.....[American expats living in Irael] are fascist racists, I have nothing but disgust toward them.    Israel should have never been created in the first place"

No problem, he still hosts an arts show on BBC. Double standard?

And people dare to say that anti-Semitism isn't a worldwide epidemic???

Nuke, if I'm wrong then show me with the facts.  Come on, Nuke, I've posted plenty of them from reputable sources so if you want to say "That's BS", you better have information to back it up.

Yeah like when you insulted my intelligence after I suggested they electrify the chain link part of the fence. WHOOPS! :bang :bang :bang

I think it was the USA Today that showed a cross-section of the fence a few months ago that had a chain link fence, patrol road & your concrete wall along with a ditch somewhere in there.

BTW, I'm so proud of you that you have so much time on your hands to do all the research you do but next time maybe you'll pay me the courtesy of not shooting from the hip with your remarks.

There is a fence separating North and South Korea.

Interstingly enough, ALL of these countries have complained about and condemned the Security Fence in Israel as being unlawful and racist.

Double standard???

The fence between the Korea's ( to say nothing of the vast minefields and booby traps ) is something I'm all too familiar with these days.

As for double standards, the world is full of hypocrites and sanctimonious assholes but they all are usually exposed for what they are in the end.

There IS a fence between Mexico and the US, built to keep illegal workers out of the US (it is 14 miles long at San Ysidro) in Texas, there is a natural barrier (Rio Grande).

Would you stop with the Mexico fence. The border is 1,933 miles long and you are talking about 14 miles? The Rio Grande cuts north outside El Paso meaning the majority of the border does not have any barrier to walking. That would be the states of New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

If you care to know, the Rio Grande doesn't even flow into the Gulf of Mexico anymore. It stops almost 1/2 mile from the Gulf. Most of the river though Texas is less than 5 feet deep and less than a couple hundred yards across and very little current. It would be harder for someone to cross Michigan Avenue during rush hour than to cross the Rio Grande.

14 miles of fencing. LMAO. It's like me stating that Northbrook put up a fence keeping people out and pointing to a few backyard fences. I've seen fencing at Ilinois Beach State Park and in Antioch along the state line. That must be the fence Illinois erected to keep illegals from Wisconsin out.

You are amazing. I live in the US and spent many working hours in Mexico. I have travelled extensively all along the border. Yet, you will continue to try and debate this. I love your quote about quiting posting because people have closed minds.

There have been many multi million dollar proposals to build fences but all fail for various environmental and humanitarian factors.

And finally a piece from our government, well at least mine.

Fact Sheet

Office of the Press Secretary

The White House, Washington, DC

March 21, 2002

Quick Facts about the U.S.-Mexico Border

    *  The 1,951 mile U.S.-Mexico border is the busiest in the world.

    * Each year the our southern border allows in more than 300 million people, approximately 90 million cars, and 4.3 million trucks.

    * Since the implementation of NAFTA, the number of commercial vehicles crossing the border has increased by 41 percent.

    * Two-way trade has almost tripled and cross-border trade averages more than $650 million dollars a day, two-thirds of which comes through ports of entry in Texas.

The point is, the ONLY reason for any fence/barrier between the US and Mexico is to keep illegal workers out of the US. Nobody complains about that, even though there is no threat by Mexico.

In Israel, there is a constant threat of terrorist attacks by "palis" daily. The fence is being built to curtail that threat, but people like you begrudge the Israelis their safety, and condemn the fence as being illegal.

What about the fences of the other countries I mentioned? They don't seem to bother you that much.

And people dare to say that anti-Semitism isn't a worldwide epidemic???

It's an epidemic if we use your bull s*** definition. If someone does not believe Israel is 100% correct in everything they do, you call them anti semetic. I also assume if someone does not like Barry Manilow they are also anti semetic.

You obviously hate everyone who lives in a trailer (like southsider2k4) I guess anti-trailer trash is a worldwide epidemic.

I do not dislike you because you are Jewish. I would think you are a close minded racist bigot no matter your race, religion, or sexual preference. I have little time for anyone who makes blanket derogotory statements about an entire race of people.

I said once before, douchebag, that I don't study Torah! For you to say that I'm not a Jew is an insult. I was born a Jew, Bar Mitzvahed, and will die a Jew! You were born an anti-Semite, live as one, and will die as a pathetic, hate filled asshole!

You are dead to me, you piece of s***! I will not respond to ANY of your postings, because you are obviously an uneducated, inbred, white trailer trash, racist.

Keep hiding under your white sheets!

:fyou

Wow, ss2k, doesn't this remind you of a certain message board about 5 years ago?

I feel like I just went back in time with Trolly.

Just so you know, IE4, if you go back and read s-l-o-w-l-y what ss2k is trying to say, nothing's racist about it. By pure definition, you're either a practicing, faithful Jew or you are not accepted as a part of the faith. That's about it on that. I know it might be hard to grasp when that fuse of yours goes off, but anyone that says anything against your stance is just trying to get you to see that there are indeed two sides to the world, not just one. Perhaps we need to get you an anti-rage keyboard or something so that you read a little slower. :P

So, let's all just get along, mmmmmmmmmmmk?

LMAO - Barry Manilow? Wow.

Trailers are cool nowadays, just as long as there's no tornados around.

It is interesting to read off-topic things like this because it so does illustrate how close-minded and polarized folks are on things. We try to preach tolerance and peace and all that BS but until the end times come (no matter what religion you are just about there is a prophesy of TRUE peace) we will never get there.

Humans as a whole are just too ignorant. Give them technology and they become even more ignorant.

That's why i prefer "Peace through strength". It's always better to be feared than to be loved.

Look back at my comments, the Israel fence doesn't bother me. You are so busy making assumptions you make an ass out of yourself. You also forgot the Berlin Wall and the Great Wall. If people are happy living inside a very large prison, it's their deal.

And you have?

:D

Did you read my posting about the fences? All fact.

Did you read my MLK quote?

Did you read Brando Fan's posting re. the BBC? All fact.

Everything you, and SouthSide, and Apu, et. al. have posted are opinions, and uneducated ones at that. If you want to be ant-Semitic, anti-Jew, anti-Israel, go for it, thats your choice. I can't/won't tell you what/how to believe.

But, I am offended when you try to "spread your hatred and racism" to others, especially when it is misdirected, and based on ignorance of the topic you're trying to discuss.

Israel isn't living in a "very large prison" by choice; if the "palis" and other Arab countries would just respect Israel's right to exist in peace, there would be no Security Fence.

(Sorry that I lumped you in with the others...my bad.)

The Torah is opinion? Huh, kinda makes your claims to the middle east a little weaker.

As to the MLK quotes, I notice you ran from my questions about MLK's philosophies, so your usage of those is also out the window.

I don't live my life strictly by the Scriptures, as I'm sure you don't. I choose to be more pragmatic, and live by the realities of the world in which we CURRENTLY live.

I know that you want the Israelis to "turn the other cheek" when faced with Arab aggression...this would only result in Israel's demise (an occurance that I'm sure you wouldn't mind!)

(If you encountered a schoolyard bully, and he kept kicking your ass everyday. If you never defended yourself, he'd never stop kicking your ass, until there was none left to kick...OR you could defend yourself, put the bully down, and never have to face the threat again. Which of these is the better alternative?)

As per the MLK quote, I can provide the ENTIRE text tonight, when I have it in front of me...until then, sorry!

I was just trying to correct some misconceptions regarding the US-Mexico Border. the US allows Mexican Nationals with very minimal paperwork, to cross and shop, vacation, etc. with in 30-40 miles of the border.

Mexico has a similar program. When you enter Mexico, wether by vehicle or walking a red/green light is triggered if you get a green light, which is 99% of the time you procede without ever talking or seeing a Mexico official. If you want to travel into the interior (more than 30 kilometers) you need a tourist visa.

North of me about 40 miles is an interior border checkpoint. Everyone is stopped and asked their nationality. Some are asked to prove it. Foreign nationals are requred to have US paperwrok to travel further north.

The desire for a fence has many reasons with stopping illegals being one. However, many humanitarians want the remote areas cut off because hundreds of poor people who want to pick crops up north are dying when they get lost in hostile environments. The Southwest has been experiencing drought conditions and watering holes have dried up. Border Patrol agents just watch for buzzards and try to get there in time.

The border has very little security for most of the distance. Here is my favorite crossing point about 30 minutes from my house
