witesoxfan
The Royals signed James Baldwin to a minor league deal and he can make $675,000 if he makes the big league team.... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-r...ov=ap&type=lgns Also, Steve Avery signed with Detroit....good to see Avery back in the majors....now we get to beat the s*** out of him! MurcieOne
Good signing by KC IMO....... they need someone to stablize that horrid young rotation. JB still has some good years left in that arm.

cwsox
better KC has JB than us - I find it interesting that JB can earn more than twice as much as Buehrle.
Cerbaho-WG
JB's signing begs the question: Who will be worse next year, the Brewers or Royals? Tough call.

RedPinStripes
Wow did he take a paycut and he must be desperate if he signed with KC. Not a bad price, but i'd rather see Rauch as the 5th starteer then an average or below average veteran. That's why i was glad to see ritchie go. witesoxfan
JB's signing begs the question: Who will be worse next year, the Brewers or Royals? Tough call. Undoubtedly the Brewers....they signed Royce and Ritchie in the same offseason...atleast it took us two offseasons to acquire both of them. That's like shotting yourself in the foot....twice. Not only that, but they only have one good hitter, Richie Sexson, and a couple decent ones(Jenkins and Sanchez are pretty good)....they have one decent starter(Ben Sheets) as well as many below average starters...and they have two good bullpen pitchers, Vizcaino and what's his face that spit in Royster's face last year. Point blank....they f***ing suck. They could lose 110 games this year....and Todd Ritchie could lose 20. If he truly did turn down more money from the Sox to sign with the Brewers to play in the NL, not only is he a s***ty pitcher, but he's a stupid f***....because he'll probably lose 20 games this year....and he seriously probably will. I got one short little phrase to say to Todd Ritchie.... HA HA!

YASNY
Or, Baggs, you'd think they would want to be known as a "player friendly" organization... so maybe the some big time FA will WANT to come here for maybe just a little less money. Or that some players, (example, from what I've heard.... Brian Giles) would not have us listed in their contacts as a "no trade" team. He was not a leader, and I doubt will give any direction to the youngsters. My guess is that he'll ignore them.

Soxplosion
I feel sorry for JB, I always liked him when he was here and to see him sign a minor league deal for s***ty money with a s***ty team just makes me feel sorry for him. I hope he does well wherever he goes. Whats even worse is that JB is making more money than MB. I sure hope Kenny takes that as a sign that MB deserves more money and completes this team for the long run...

SoxFanForever
Regarding Baldwin, I think that we can live without his career 4.98 ERA. Baldwin seems like an alright guy but never was an ACE, more like a number 3 or 4 to me.

He was never and "ACE" on this team, well maybe the first or second half of a season...... but I do believe he is the best pitcher on the Royals roster. I don't claim to know if JB was a good teammate or not. I remember hearing that he was, and I qualified my comments with that remark. I really have no idea, nor claim to.
