SoxAce
YES!!! THE BIG SIGNING!!! This guy sounds like he can take over as closer. I'm actually surprised we signed someone like that so cheap. Way to go KW. I just hope the guy can communicate and make some friends out of the clubhouse, hell even teach our sox players a bit of japanese or two

maggsmaggs
I think he'll be great, all the players will be seeing him for the first time ever. He will be dominant in the beginning, then not as dominant, but solid. Assuming he closes right away, 2.66 ERA, 5 wins, 3 losses and 38 saves. Do the Sox still have Man Soo Lee, if they do he'll help Shingo adjust, if not, not sure what will happen.
DBAHO
Hopefully he'll be as succesful as Kaz Sasaki was when he 1st went to Seattle. Great signin especially only for $1 mill, shows that KW is still tryin to make this team betta even with da payroll issues. I would hav said Koch would hav been shipped out to da Mets, and he still could be afta they missed out on Vlad, but now since they signed Brandon Looper, I just don't think they'd take him on unless we pay part of his salary as well. Good move makin him a setup man at 1st as well, he'll be our Flash Gordon this year if Koch stays and struggles.

Guest JimH
Do the Sox still have Man Soo Lee, if they do he'll help Shingo adjust, if not, not sure what will happen. South Korean vs. Japanese. But I understand your point.

That's not much help when Shingo is speaking Japanese.

I knew you had - that is what made your joke work! for what I usually say about Michigan Ag, you added a few extra letters there... you guys getting covered in snow tonight? we are (about 50 miles NW of you) and this is off topic, but you guys played well last weekend, best game you played all season - you looked unbeatable, at long last - you sit in the Izone? I didn't get tickets...no time to go to alot with wrestling and all. Alot of my friends sit in the Izzone. We have had snow for a good week now. Didn't get it bad today, only light flakes. It was bad I want to say a week ago, just covered us up. BTW, ya watching the Michigan vs Wisconsin game? Tied 40-40 in second half.
SoxAce
"Shingo is not afraid of being emotional," Urbon said. "He's very charismatic and very competitive. He's a bulldog out there." That remines me alot of someone who carries those same traits. Hopefully he won't be to much like him as far as showing TOO much emotion (Carlos Zambrano)

fattyguy78
Pretty sure that Man Soo Lee was not offered a contract extension at the end of last year..so he is no longer with the organization in any capacity i believe...but i am still excited to see what MR ZERO can do!
