Loaiza21
Mexican President Vicente Fox honored Esteban Loaiza today because he has the most wins by a Mexican pitcher ever in a single season. From the looks of it, he's a White Sox fan!

soxfan420
The Mexican president looks like Don Mattinley or Wade Boggs great observation and doesnt look like he has a penny to his name, Loaiza on the other hand looks more like he should be running the country in that suit. it looks like it cost him all of last years pay check on that baby. aboz56
Here's a question for anyone that wants to take it? let's say E-Lo has another outstanding year. What kind of contract should he be offered from the Sox? And how loyal will he be to the Sox in regards to our chances of resigning him? This could turn out to be an interesting situation considering JR's stance on giving contracts to pitchers... interested to hear everyone's thoughts... whitesoxin'
Esteban really deserved that. He had a monster year even though people, including me, doubted him in the beginning.

If he has another year like last year, he is in the $6-8 mil range at least.

A a minimum of $7 MIL a year... I would be willing to bet that if he had two offers on the table and they were at all comparable, he would take the sox offer. He was given a great chance last year, when nobody else wanted him. I think he's making 4.5Mil this year, so it's not a stretch to give him a 3 year $25-27 MIL contract if he proves he can sustain that over 2 years.
