Fairly simple in my book..In my 3 years at the Fest, I always received the autographs I wanted..I would say I waited about tops 1 1/2..And that was for Frank last year..I received a wrist band to get Maggs last year, and I was one of the last ones to get it...

Just out of curiousity, for those who've been before, how hard is it to get in the autograph sessions where it says first 500, etc.

With Maggs and Frank not being here, it shouldn't be too hard, to get the auto's you want. With CLee having a private session, the hardest signs should be MB and ELo, and even they shouldn't be that bad. Just kinda plan out your schedule ahead of time for the guys you REALLY want. Also another hint, if you plan on buying baseballs wait until the fest, they sell them cheaper there.

Southsider asked me this:

Hey are you interested in anything from the Fest?

Here's my response, but I open that up to anyone. I'd love a bb card with a signature from all of those on that list. Let me know how much it'd cost if you're interested in helpin' a non-chicgo brotha out.

"definitely. do you have a paypal account? cos I'll send you some cash if you want reimbursement. I would love any of the following signatures on a bb card like the Konerko card you sent me last year.

Loaiza, Valentin, Maggs, Mark Buehrle, Miguel Olivo, Crede, Carlos, Garland"

Let me know if you can hook me up.

Thanks y'all...

Alex

I'm gonna be a first timer here. For those of you that have been there before, how long ahead of time should I get in line? The only one I really want is E Lo on my all star game baseball or program cover, and it says first 450, so about how early should I be? Thanks.

The lines do go pretty quick imo once they actually start signing..It's the waiting in line when theyre not even there yet that gets ya...On Sunday, I think you'd be pretty much guaranteed if you got there between 8:45-9...Also the fact it's pretty early and its a sunday...If your there friday maybe check after the seminar since he aint scheduled to sign that day... ;)

I'm not gonna be there on Friday, so it looks like I'll have to wake up early on Sunday morning. It's an hour drive plus 15 min or so to park and everything, so looks like I'll have to get up around 7 :o I have had bad luck in getting Loaiza's sig because I was next in line after he finished once before a game and security pushed me back the second time.

So who all else is going to what days?

It sounds like there will be a Friday nite gathering after the Q&A session for all who are interested.  PM me for more details.

I will be there all three days. I can do a bar meeting on Friday, but on Saturday I will have my laptop with me and have to head up to the room to work at 9PM. I can probably head back down Saturday night around 11PM and hang out until 1AM when I have to go back online to test stuff. So I can't drink much Saturday.

I don't plan on staying there long on Sunday, but will meet for breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

your official good news for the day - I cancelled my reservations this morning for various and sundry reasons.

Zach23 and zach61, Steff, CK, RPS, etc., will miss you all - will see you opening day however unless you successfully hide from me -

this will probably be the last SoxFest ever because without me buying all the crap I usually do, the vendors will make no money.

if there were another SoxFest though I will make that one in 2005.
