My 1st round mock draft

Recommended Posts

I am currently working on a 7 round mock draft. I have only gotten through the

1st round, but I am unsure about some of my picks. If I have a player at a team

that doesn't really have a need for that position lemme know.

All suggestions are appreciated...

1 1 San Diego Chargers Eli Manning

1 2 Oakland Raiders Larry Fitzgerald

1 3 Arizona Cardinals Ben Roethlisberger

1 4 New York Giants Robert Gallerey

1 5 Washington Redskins Kellen Winslow Jr.

1 6 Detroit Lions Sean Taylor

1 7 Atlanta Falcons (Coin) Roy Williams

1 8 Cleveland Browns (Coin) Shawn Andrews

1 9 Jacksonville Jaguars Kenechi Udeze

1 10 Houston Texans Tommie Harris

1 11 Pittsburgh Steelers Kevin Jones

1 12 New York Jets Reggie Williams

1 13 Buffalo Bills Chris Gamble

1 14 Chicago Bears Steven Jackson

1 15 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Michael Clayton

1 16 San Francisco 49'ers Randy Starks

1 17 Cincinnati Bengals Will Smith

1 18 New Orleans Saints Jonathan Vilma

1 19 Minnesota Vikings Will Poole

1 20 Miami Dolphins J.P. Losman

1 21 New England Patriots Chris Perry

1 22 Dallas Cowboys Vince Wilfork

1 23 Seattle Seahawks Dwan Edwards

1 24 Denver Broncos Ben Troupe

1 25 Green Bay Packers D.J. Williams

1 26 Saint Louis Rams Nat Dorsey

1 27 Tennessee Titans Vernon Carey

1 28 Philadelphia Eagles Lee Evans

1 29 Indianapolis Colts Darnell Dockett

1 30 Kansas City Chiefs Sean Jones

1 31 Carolina Panthers (SB) Rashaun Woods

1 32 New England Patriots (SB) Dontarrious Thomas

Also, I realize the Bears have more critical needs, but I think Thomas may be

tradeable.

Please make suggestions!

Thanks,

Mike

No suggestion... I Just wanted to note the relationship between what Pittsburgh does, and what the Bears do. I think Pitt may trade up to grab one of the two QB's. But if they don't they'll almost assuredly go RB.... and since we know JA has something against the A-train, and has a hard-on for Jones, Pittsburgh is going to directly effect who the bears get.

Has Angelo said that he likes Jones etc.?  I haven't heard that, but I could believe that.

Angelo was at a Virgina Tech game earlier this year... I forget which one... It was in Blacksburg...

Who knows, maybe he was looking at D'Angelo Hall... But from what I've heard he's had his mind made up...

He had his mind made up about Saban too, and we see how that turned out. I'm not disappointed with not having Saban. Maybe we'll end up in the same position, JA will listen to the people around him and might not be so inclined to draft a RB.

The bears needs in free agency and the draft are... OL, DL, CB, in that order. But I think we can easily get the one of the line spots filled through FA. The other line spot should be our top pick, and CB in the second/third round... Maybe we can find another tillman.

I think RB may be the way to go in the 1st. If Gallery and Andrews are gone by 14, then an OT would be a reach. D-Line is pretty deep and we could get one in the 2nd. I think that if Jones is there we have to take him. But I would bet a lot that he isn't there at 14.

I know Larry Fitzgerald is supremely talented and all, but somehow I don't see the Raiders taking him. Recievers are the one thing they have, at least in the short run. And Porter is solid enough. They need help on both lines, I could see them trading down for multiple picks to fill some holes.

Ok.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Well yours is the popular opinion, so I wouldn't see the need to change. I wasn't commenting on your mock draft so much as the draft in general. But it's impossible to predict the trades that might happen anyway.

Oh ok. I thought you meant in my draft.

I can see what you are saying. That have more pressing needs than WR.

Stephen Jackson is going to go before Jones as well.... sooo I think thats reversed. I'd look for angelo to select maybe Greg Jones in the second round... the guy is totally ripped up the ass.... I saw him at the seinor bowl yesterday... really good looking prospect.

The top 2 OLmen wil certainly be gone @ 14... I think that we may address OL in the FA market though... Clifton(GB) Tait(KC) are both viable options... Wilfolk would be a great grab @ 14...

I think the bears are going to go into camp well over the cap.... JA overpaid for a bunch of guys... RDub, B.Rob, Stewart... All could be cut and the bears jsut take the cap hit... Stewart is almost %100 gone... I think his cap number is only his signing bonus, so that amounts to like $500,000.

The bears have a solid core of good young players, and even with some overpriced guys they have a bunch of wiggle room under the cap, and no major FA losses... This offseason is going to be really fun to watch JA build his team.

I'd be happy with that pick, although he is ALOT like the a-train... so I don't know if JA would take the guy.

The Bears have alot of cap room, so i dont know where that is coming from... They have the most second to only Arizona I wanna say.

Everything I have heard is that he seems like are pick. The only knock I have heard about him is that he needs to watch his weight, they said it could get out of hand.

I think this guy could be just what the doctor ordered... I mean if he turns out to be what people think he could turn out to be.... that makes the entire defense that much better. Including our beloved Brian Urlacher.

What I meant by saying I think they would goin to camp over the cap is that they are going to be very active in free agency... i think they are going to sign enough players to go over it, with the intention of dropping/trading guys...

Two of their recievers are over 40, but I get what you are saying.

If they dont draft some DT/OL people early in the draft... they'd better make a run at Warren Sapp. Brain RObinson is f***ing awful.... and our offensive line simply has to protect Rex Grossman to allow him to succeed.
