I want the Bears to work on both of there lines this year. Thats what Im most concered about. Hopfully in the draft, and in the market. One thing I do NOT want to see is Javon Kearse in a Bear Uniform. He has done nothing since his rookie year.

Like I keep saying the O line should be all right if we bring back Villarial plus Tucker and Columbo coming back from injury.

Very happy with da Cowboys endin up with Vince Wilfork if that's da case. Him and Glover with Willie Blade and Carson rotatin would be a mean front 4. And were we still gonna do that Mock Draft were every1 can pick a team as well?

Docket would be a nice pick for my Colts. His stock has really been rising over the past year. Some other names that the Colts might take include Donte Hall(VT - CB) and Karlos Dansby(Auburn - LB). The Colts have 3 major weaknesses on D(DT, ML, and CB), and it is a pretty safe bet that the Colts will draft the best available player that plays one of those positions. Besides that you mock draft looks pretty accurate. You could be Mel Kiper's replacement a few years down the road.

In regards to the Bear, I am not a big fan of Jackson. If they are going to take a running back, than they should take Jones(if available) or wait until the later rounds. Someone like a Julius Jones from ND will probably be available in the 2nd or 3rd round and could end up being a steal.

Thanks.

As for the Bears, I think I am going to be doing some shifting. And a lot of things can change at the combine.

DBAH0-Thats fine.

Wow people are underrating Stephen Jackson. This kid is the real deal, he is often compared to Ricky Williams because of his combination size and speed. I would be ecstatic if my team took him with a mid-first round pick.

I am currently working on a 7 round mock draft.  I have only gotten through the

1st round, but I am unsure about some of my picks.  If I have a player at a team

that doesn't really have a need for that position lemme know.

All suggestions are appreciated...

1 1 San Diego Chargers    Eli Manning

1 2 Oakland Raiders    Larry Fitzgerald

1 3 Arizona Cardinals    Ben Roethlisberger

1 4 New York Giants    Robert Gallerey

1 5 Washington Redskins    Kellen Winslow Jr.

1 6 Detroit Lions    Sean Taylor

1 7 Atlanta Falcons (Coin)    Roy Williams

1 8 Cleveland Browns (Coin)  Shawn Andrews

1 9 Jacksonville Jaguars    Kenechi Udeze

1 10 Houston Texans    Tommie Harris

1 11 Pittsburgh Steelers    Kevin Jones

1 12 New York Jets    Reggie Williams

1 13 Buffalo Bills    Chris Gamble

1 14 Chicago Bears    Steven Jackson

1 15 Tampa Bay Buccaneers    Michael Clayton

1 16 San Francisco 49'ers    Randy Starks

1 17 Cincinnati Bengals    Will Smith

1 18 New Orleans Saints    Jonathan Vilma

1 19 Minnesota Vikings    Will Poole

1 20 Miami Dolphins    J.P. Losman

1 21 New England Patriots      Chris Perry

1 22 Dallas Cowboys      Vince Wilfork

1 23 Seattle Seahawks      Dwan Edwards

1 24 Denver Broncos      Ben Troupe

1 25 Green Bay Packers      D.J. Williams

1 26 Saint Louis Rams      Nat Dorsey

1 27 Tennessee Titans      Vernon Carey

1 28 Philadelphia Eagles          Lee Evans

1 29 Indianapolis Colts      Darnell Dockett

1 30 Kansas City Chiefs      Sean Jones

1 31 Carolina Panthers (SB)    Rashaun Woods

1 32 New England Patriots (SB) Dontarrious Thomas

Also, I realize the Bears have more critical needs, but I think Thomas may be

tradeable.

Please make suggestions!

Thanks,

Mike

I wish the Bears could find a way to get Gallery!!! He's a stud!

Stephen Jackson is the highest rated running back in the draft.

According to who? You? Thats certainly debatable. In fact, I haven't seen one ranking that has Jackson rated higher then Jones. Truth be told, I am not really sold on either guy(especially Jackson). I think this is a weak RB group, and that you could find a good back in the later rounds. I think it would be a mistake for the Bears to take Jackson with their 1st pick. They have more pressing needs.

Me, and Mel Kiper Jr.

I'd be happy with that pick, although he is ALOT like the a-train... so I don't know if JA would take the guy.

Except Jones is supposed to be able to run a sub 4.5 when healthy. Right now he's little over that, but not much and he's still recovering.

Greg Jones in the 2nd and Boulware in the 3rd are two things I'm hoping for. If the Bears go Jones in the 1st, then I hope for Clayton in the 2nd and Boulware in the 3rd.

I should add that I feel they will sign a dt, ot, and cb.

I have to disagree. Most experts/rankings see Jackson as a "reach" for the mid-1st round. Most experts/rankings have him projected as a late-1st/early-2nd round pick. The stat that I point to is his 4.4 yards per carry average. That is not impressive in the least bit, in fact, that is a very average YPC for a college running back. He has good physical tools, but his stats aren't impressive. It comes down to whether you think "tools" or "numbers" are more important. The NFL has show time and again that picking a guy with the good "numbers" is usually a safer bet(see Manning over Leaf). As a Colts fan, I really don't care who the Bears pick, but I have a feeling that Jackson is another A-Train in the making. Living in Pac 10 country I have seen him play on a consistant basis and didn't come away impressed with Jackson. Thats just my opinion though.

Kiper has him 20th, as the highest rated running back.

Jackson is a tremendous blend of quickness and power. While he isn't as shifty or elusive as smaller backs, he runs with power and makes defenders miss with his athleticism. Jackson also has ability and versatility as a receiving option (39 receptions in 2003 to go with his 1,396 rushing yards). He does damage in the open field and has a nose for the end zone (15 rushing TDs plus two receiving TDs). Jackson gets better as the game goes along.

Yeah.... I'm not gonna say that Mel Kiper is the end all be all... but I'd say he's the best when it comes to draft stuff.. soo I guess the bottom line is that Jackson is rated higher than Jones.

I tend to disagree with your pick of Chris Gamble for the Bills. People are thinking Mularkey will want to draft a receiver(whether it be a TE or a WR).

I think they are a team that could trade up. Personally, I feel it depends on what the Redskins do. If they feel Rod Gardner is a good enough compliment to Coles(which I think they will do), they'll draft Winslow. However, if not, I think they'll take Roy Williams, leaving Kellen Winslow available. At that point, I think Buffalo is a candiate to trade up to get Winslow. I think it's very possible that the Bills would trade Josh Reed and their first round pick to Atlanta for the #7 pick overall, and then select Winslow.

I doubt that kind of thing happens, so if it doesn't happen, I see them either taking Reggie Williams out of Washington or trading down and taking Ben Troupe out of Florida. I do not think they take a CB though.

I really think the it would be wise for the Bears to take someone like Julius Jones from Notre Dame in the 3rd round or so(if he is still avalaible). I really think that Jones is one of the sleepers in this draft. He didn't get much recognition because ND really struggled and he had to split time with Ryan Grant at the beginning of the year. With that said, he put together an impressive year in which he ran for 1268 yards(including 3 200+ yard games), an impressive 5.5 yards per carry, and 10 TD's. Furthermore, he should get more credit since opponents stacked the line with 8 and 9 guys almost every play because Notre Dame had a nonexsistant passing game with freshman Brady Quinn at the helm. Not only that, but he had a below average O-line blocking for him that included 4 new starters. When you take these things into consideration his numbers become even more impressive. He also impressed a lot of scouts at the Senior Bowl workouts and his stock is soaring. He has break away speed to take it to the house on 40, 50, 60 yard runs(evidence by his 3 200 yard games and extremely impressive 4.3 40), but he also added 20 pounds of solid mussle(without losing any speed) that allows him to get those 4, 5, 6 tough yards up the middle. The bad news for the Bears is that his stock is soaring and that he could be gone by the 2nd round, but the Bears would probably be better off addressing other needs in the 1st 2 rounds, and getting someone like Jones in the 3rd or 4th round.
