Queen Prawn
once again iowa's carring the load for illinois :fyou To be truthful, I'm a little jealous. I miss the big snow falls. Oh freakin' well, it's not like I thought the weathermen were actually going to get this one right.

fullcollapse
its been snowing for 2 straight weeks, and i've shoveled/snowblown my driveway about 20 times already, and get to again tonight and tomorrow morning. then i get to do it all again tomorrow. saturday though... might get to 16. the best part is when i just finish shoveling, and then the plow comes and burries the end of the driveway... that rocks. BrandoFan
Sack up??? you from Texas, Comrade Brando?? What a strange question, PA. But no, thankfully I am not. As per Bill Hicks, Texas weather is for lizards. I prefer having ALL FOUR SEASONS -- each beautiful and unique. YMMV.

Texsox
We have 4 seasons in Texas. McAllen temps ranch from lows in the 40's during winter to lows in the 80's and 90's during summer. We have Maples that change color and drop their leaves. I trade snow and frostbite for 100+ days for weeks on end. It's all from where you sit. Y'all don't have a summer. I don't have a winter. greasywheels121
Yeah we've gotten a nice mix of snow/ice/rain/sleet ....and it's all amounted to the night before 2 hour delay...I love those things...

BrandoFan
We have 4 seasons in Texas You might not have a winter alright. But we sure as hell have summer-- to the tune of 100 degrees and humidity. I Chicago I bet y'all can teill.
greasywheels121
Or more along my type of thinking... LMAO....that's great.......At least February's a short month; the weather starts to show some "promise" in March.
Texsox
You might not have a winter alright. But we sure as hell have summer-- to the tune of 100 degrees and humidity. I Chicago I bet y'all can teill. When the mercury hits 100 degrees in Chicago, the city calls it a weather emergency, people die, and the city opens up cooling shelters. Here it is just another summer day. Likewise, when it hits 40 degrees here, people die and they open up emergency warming shelters. People in Chicago put on a sweater. I use to spend my winters out ice fishing, camping in Wisconsin, a little skiing at one of the Mt. Trashmores or in Lake Geneva. Now that would kill me. But I regularly walk the course when it hits 103 and just make sure to drink plenty of water and shorten up my swing. The tendency is to overswing in really hot weather. You also need to keep the grips dry. Now a couple years ago we hit 109 with 55% humidity, that was a very nasty day.
