Usually we listen to 98.3 KORA....stupid country music

but this song just played. WEIRD....is that a country tune?

When I get home babe, I'm gonna light your fire

All day I've been thinking about you babe

You're my one desire

Gonna wrap my arms around you

Hold you close to me

Oh babe I wanna taste your lips

I wanna fill your fantasy

I don't know what I'd do without you, babe

Don't know where I'd be

You're not just another love

No, you're everything to me

Everytime I'm with you baby

Can't believe it's true

When you're laying in my arms

And you do the things you do

You can see it in my eyes

I can feel it in your touch

You don't have to say a thing

Just let me show how much

I love you, I need you, babe

I wanna kiss you all over

And over again

I wanna kiss you all over

Till the night closes in

Till the night closes in

No one else can ever make me feel the way you do

Oh keep on loving me baby

And I keep on loving you

It's easy to see when something's right and something wrong

Well stay with me baby

And hold me all night long

So show me, show me everything you do

Cause baby no one does it quite like you

I love you, I need you, babe

I wanna kiss you all over

And over again

I wanna kiss you all over

Till the night closes in

Till the night closes in

Stay with me

Lay with me

Holding me

Loving me, baby

Here with me

Near with me

Feeling you close to me, baby

So show me, show me everything you do

Cause baby no one does it quite like you

I love you, I need you, babe

I wanna kiss you all over

And over again

I wanna kiss you all over

Till the night closes in...

And what does everybody have against Country music? :finger

Finally, something we agree on. I love country music--but I'm only allowed to listen to it when no one else is home...I'm the only one in my suite that likes it. That and bluegrass. Oh man! I love it!

In Texas we play both kinds of music Country and Western

YOU'RE the Good Ol' Boys?!? Then who the F@#*! were those guys?

Bluegrass is most triumphant. Old-fashioned, my hounddawg died truckdriver divorce country is as genuinely American as blues, jazz, or bluegrass. Most of the "Hot Young Country" being churned out today needs to die a thousand deaths and infect the airwaves no more.

I agree, and I gotta share a Blues Brothers story...

I was best man at a friend's wedding at a fancy inn in New York. I had over the course of the previous several years indoctrinated him and several other friends into the world of craft beer, and so we had a cooler full of special beers (10 year old Aardy's Ale and whatnot) stashed behind the open bar. The bartender had to come up with a way to know which wedding guests should get the good stuff and which guests were still among the unwashed masses. We all decided that anyone in the know would signify his/her status by giving the bartender a quote from the Blues Brothers.

It was a lot of fun and worked until the grooms older brother - who we had not yet brought up to speed on the code - saw one of us walk away with some of the good stuff and tried to get some for himself. He asked for something and the diligent bartender kind of waited for a BB quote that didn't come. After a few seconds the bartender (who was a big fan of the movie and thoroughly enjoying himself at this point) leaned in and asked, "Well, what do you think about Illinois Nazis?" The brother kind of stared blankly and the bartender repeated the question, whereupon the brother grabbed a cheap beer and slunked away. When he found us he said, "hey the bartender is really wierd - he keeps asking me about Illinois Nazis and he's freaking me out..." Needless to say, we were rolling on the floor for several minutes.

Country is awesome. I watch CMT a ton. In the wrestling locker room, we always have 100.7 on -- which is country.
