Guest JimH
Call me strange, but I couldn't fall asleep last nite so I was going over the White Sox pitching staff in my mind. Anyway, I came up with 16 guys who are challenging for bullpen jobs: RH: Billy Koch, Shingo Takatsu, Cliff Politte, Dan Wright, Matt Ginter, Mike Jackson, Jason Grilli, Gary Majewski, Jon Adkins, Jose Santiago LH: Damaso Marte, Kelly Wunsch, Dave Sanders, Arnie Munoz, Vic Darensbourg, Ryan Meaux Who am I missing? Challenging for the #4 and #5 starter job: Scott Schoeneweis, Robert Person, Jon Rauch, Felix Diaz, Enemencio Pacheco, Neal Cotts I tried to list guys who were either on the 40 man or who were recently added through minor league deals. I would still like to see one more veteran added for both relief and starting, if nothing else than competition.

gsoxs1
I think most of the spots are filled and there is on left open RH Billy Koch, Shingo Takatsu, Cliff Politte, LH: Damaso Marte, Kelly Wunsch, The others vining for the last spot. elrockinMT
The only question is on the number of pitchers that Ozzie decided to leave Tucson with this year. 11 or 12? My guess is he makes a run at things with 11 and does a reality check around late May.
KipWellsFan
-Is Meaux really a left hander? I could have sworn he was a righty. -I believe the White Sox organization sees more of a future for Adkins in the pen than as a starter. Loaiza21
I think Diaz would be a nice fit for #5. Maybe I'd take Cotts over Schoney @ 4.

Personally, the thought of Cotts and Diaz both being in the rotation coming out of Spring Training scares the hell out of me.

1549
I would kill to get a valid 4th starter. I hate this whole Shoney fourth, Diaz/Rauch/Cotts/Pacheo/anyonewithanarmontheirf***ingshoulder combination battling for fifth.

I agree, i don't mind Schoney at 4, I actually think he will do ok, but i hate the idea of a toss-up and whoever name gets pulled out of the bag is our fifth starter idea. SkokieSox
I believe Grilli is a 5th spot consideration, but I could be wrong? When we picked him up from the Marlins in the Rule V Draft, he was a starter.
CubsSuck1
How about Josh Stewart? Is he healthy? Last I heard he was still recovering from the shot to his chest. Guess it was pretty serious.
C.Rector
Don't believe anyone on this thread mentioned Francisco Campos of the Mexican Pacific League. He certainly could do well for us.
Guest JimH
Good call on Campos. He is an experienced guy who might surprise.
