Texsox
dude....it was Men at Work I guess if I'm on Jeopardy I will not do well if the category is s***ty 80s Bands Men At Work Down Under lyrics Traveling in a fried - out combie On a hippie trail, head full of zombie I met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and gave me breakfast And she said, Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover. Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six foot four and full of muscles I said, Do you speak - a my language? He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich And he said, I come from a land down under Where beer does flow and men chunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover. Lying in a den in Bombay With a slack jaw, and not much to say I said to the man, Are you trying to tempt me Because I come from the land of plenty? And he said, Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah) Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover. Didn't a Flock of Seagulls do a cover
sox4lifeinPA
I Ran - A Flock of Seagulls I walk along the avenue I never thought I'd meet a girl like you With auburn hair and tormy eyes The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through And I ran, I ran so far away I just ran, I ran all night and day I couldn't get away A cloud appears above your head A beam of light comes shining down on you The cloud is moving nearer still Aurora borealis comes in you And I ran, I ran so far away I just ran, I ran all night and day I couldn't get away Reached out a hand to touch your face You're slowly disappearing from my view Reached out hand to try again I'm floating in a beam of light with you And I ran, I ran so far away I just ran, I ran all night and day I couldn't get away And I ran, I ran so far away I just ran, I ran all night and day I couldn't get away... Stryper???!?!? just because country music sucked in the 80s doesn't mean music in general sucked I didn't start listening to a lot of country music until the mid 90s. I am liking Yellow Card right now. And I'm looking to get tickets for Aerosmith and Cheap Trick cominbg to town. This is the biggest show since David Lee Roth played a local bar for a $10 cover My buddy and I got tossed for requesting Van Halen tunes I couldn't remember when he left.
