SnB
And there really isnt anything wrong with these rankings. Thats what is sad. I was just gonna say that. You can't argue with their picks, they're overall correct.
Pale Hose Jon
So what, does anyone give a f0ck what espn feels. It is not like i'm going to stop watching the bears because they are so low
greasywheels121
My teams are ranked.... White Sox--99 Colts--40 Pacers--
SuperSteve
All that matters -- the White Sox are the number one team.
Elcaballo45
Espn just released the newest sportsnation poll which puts several different factors in figuring out what fans think about : -Where your favorite team stands -How each NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB team ranks in its own sport -How the franchises in each major market compare to each other - How each team does in each category, such as "Fan Relations" and "Stadium Experience" Notable teams include Scrubs --> #45 Bulls --> #93 Sox --> #99 (ahead of the Bears? wow!) Bears --> #103 Blackhawks --> #120 (dead last, as Houston Texans are N/A for not being a team long eneugh i guess) Heres the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/sportsnation/franchiseRanks
SuperSteve
Same thread was just started a little bit ago, and it is actually about three or four topics down from this one.

Gene Honda Civic
Team....2003.....2004 Cubs.....82.......45 Sox......85.......99 Bears....95.......103 Bulls....104......93 Hawks....108......120 To prove what a BOGUS survey this is, what has changed about the Cubs since the same time last year? They went to the NL Championship, and every SINGLE category got better. The funniest is the coach, 41 last year (coach=Dusty Baker), 11 this year(coach=Dusty Baker). Ticket prices went from 4th highest in baseball, to 3rd highest in baseball, and affordability got better??? This poll = BS 2004 - 45. Chicago Cubs 45 78 44 40 78 5 56 11 88 2003 - 82. Chicago Cubs 82 93 84 85 84 8 97 41 106 The Bears "stadium experience" last year was 91, this year 89... The difference, having to drive 2.5 hours to Champaign to sit on metal benches with no real beer vendors, or the opulent $600+MIL stadium by the lake. Winning equals every thing I guess.. I'm going to do one just for Chicago teams... Using all of the same Criteria look for it later tonight.
CubsSuck1
From 2003: 2003: You can't choose your relatives, but Pale Hose fans desperately want a new dad. "If Jerry Reinsdorf disappeared, everything else is in place here to win," says Jason Gage, who operates the fan site soxnet.net. "He's the worst owner in baseball." Hard to disagree. The Sox don't win much (three postseason appearances since 1960) and the new Comiskey Park is a sterile nightmare. No wonder Reinsdorf gets the blame (see above). Still, things could be worse. "At least," Gage says, "the Cubs stink too."
Texsox
Here's what really pisses me off. Steinbrenner will probably be pissed the Yankmees are "only" 33. Wirtz could give a s*** the Hawks were 121 in chance for championship in a 120 team poll. BTW Texas kicks ass with the teams in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. Nuke, can we do something about Wirtz? :puke :fyou :finger :headshake
NUKE_CLEVELAND
It doesn't surprise me a bit. I dont think I've ever heard of such blatant abuse and neglect being heaped on the fans by a sports teams ownership than with the Slacks. santo=dorf
And there really isnt anything wrong with these rankings. Thats what is sad. Bulls***. Sort the teams by championships. The Hawks are last again but the Cubs finished 88th. How the f*** do the Cubs finish ahead of any team? Do a sort by stadiums. The Blow Sox aren't anywhere near the top. The article really sucks. :fthecubs
danman31
These rankings don't rank the franchise overall. They rank the team at the time, so of course the Chicago teams suck.
DBAHO
Look what Rob Neyer wrote, Something else about the NHL I didn't know ... the good fans in Chicago really, really don't like whoever owns the Blackhawks. How do we know this? Again, there are 121 teams, and here are the bottom three, as ranked by "Ownership": 119 Brewers 120 Blackhawks 121 Expos So you've got the Blackhawks, and a couple of teams owned by Bud Selig.
