SoxAce
Watch out for the Pads. They are going to be even better this year. Hopefully they can hold off injuries and make a playoff run. They got the talent to do it.

EvilJester99
I certainly think the Pads will surprise a lot of people this season.
SuperSteve
I can't go against the Giants, except that they have lost a bit from last years team, and are a year older and a little banged up.

They've had sum big losses though. Nathan goin to da Twinkies leaves a big hole in their bullpen especially if Robb Nen can't pitch again, and insurance won't cover his $9 mill salary. Jose Cruz Jr. and Sidney Ponson hav gone as well, and they gav up a 1st round pick for Michael Tucker of all ppl.

Schmidt can pitch, Nen will be back, Aurillia is a huge loss, Pzierwhogivesaf*** is a very nice addition. They should be fine, I do not see the NL West being very good, better than AL Central still. Interestin to see what type of year Bonds has without Santiago and Aurilla around.

They got the talent to do it. I agree. They might surprise a lot of people this year. That team on paper looks very competitive and explosive. Plus, have you seen that stadium they built? Damn. I'm going to San Diego in about 5 weeks and the little woman and I will be definitely checking that out. Plus, I've always held a special place in my heart for the Padres. After all, they caused the suicides and/or heartbreaking pain for many drunken morons wearing Cubs gear back in 1984.
