Pastime
You brought up a great point. Farmer and Rooney mentioned a few times last year that Wright can get through an opponent's batting order once and maybe twice, but then they sit on his stuff. We do need a long reliever, and he does have an arm capable of 2-5 innings. I'm sure Ozzie can see that, or at least I hope he does.
Chisoxfn
Danny Wright may be a guy that really steps up big time for the Sox. I still have high expecations for him (Although it seems I'm the only one).
BrandoFan
(Although it seems I'm the only one). That's because D Wright circa June 2003 was a completly different pitcher from DW circa September 2002..... the one whom we all liked and expected big things from. Don Cooper must prove to me once and for all why he shouldn't be chased out of the clubhouse with a electric broom.

I don't think Cooper had anything to do with Wright's struggles.
Queen Prawn
The circa 2003 Danny Wright was recovering from an injury. I don't think Cooper had anything to do with Wright's struggles. He was also rushed back due to lack of pitching (remember outside of Loaiza, and maybe Colon no one on the staff was doing much). I do think he would be better suiting being a long reliever, but I definitely haven't given up on him as a starter.
upnorthsox
Without a 3rd pitch he's not a starter and him being injured or not wasn't going to change that.

Rex Hudler
Where can I find a listing of what pitches each pitcher throws? That info is not listed anywhere I know of. Watching games and listening to broadcasters with a scouting report or two mixed in is the only way I know of.
BrandoFan
Danny lost velocity AND movement off his heater, AND his curve was absolute garbage.....compared to where it was in August-September of 2002 when looked really good.

Are you saying the injury he had did not contribute to this?
