JoshPR
I know it's really early, fantasy baseball drafts soon though. Last year during our draft I got Halladay in the 4th round, and announced I just made evryone else look stupid by drafting the AL Cy Young winner, after everyone else had 3 shots at him. The runner-up(Loiza) went undrafted by us all. So here's you chance to make us all look stupid, or inadvertantly make yourself too. So here are the Categories. Add Categories or predictions if you like. NL MVP: ROY: NL Pennant: Batting Champ: HR: RBI: Cy Young: Saves: Wins: AL MVP: ROY: AL Pennant: Batting Champ: HR: RBI: Cy Young: Saves: Wins: ----------- World Series: Comeback Player of the Year: ------ I'm working on my predictions now. JoshPR
Jason Bay is gonna be out half the season from surgery, Another thing Frank Thomas can't win Comeback player of the year cause he already won it in 2000. And he hit 42 homers and knocked in 100 so it doesn't apply either

He is listed as probably for opening day on rotoworld.

Soxbadger
I think Pujols has the best chance to win each of those awards, I do not think he will win them all, just that when you look at each award Pujols has a legitimate chance to each one, if not a favore to win each one. I picked Berkman as MVP because I just have a feeling he will put up big stats finish 2nd in a few categories to Pujols, and that Houston will have a better record so Berkman will win the MVP. We are guessing, and I would like to hear an argument against Pujols for any of those categories, I would say that he is top 3 in each. And with the way I suspect the Cardinals to go they are going to get in a lot of slug fests, and he will beat up on Reds, Pirates, and Brewers pitching. With Edmonds, Renteria, etc his lineup is better than Helton and Bonds is getting older. What can I say, I think Pujols is the next Thomas or Bonds and Thomas was capable of winning any of those 3 awards any year. I just am not sure they will give MVP to a player who is on a team that does not make the playoffs, especially if the Cards are around .500 and the Astros are the dominant team. Id say if he is 1st in 2 of 3 parts of the crown Pujols does not win MVP unless the Cardinals are in the race, but if he wins 2 of 3 that would still mean I picked the most correct. Hes such a good hitter, its hard to tell which stat he will do the best in. SB

And he hit 42 homers and knocked in 100 so it doesn't apply either And IIRC, he also won it in 1992 or 1993, and he finished second in the AL Comeback Player of the Year this year(to ELo, but I thought he should have won, because Elo never was actually there) You can win Comeback Player of the Year more then once, like you can win an MVP or a Cy Young more then once. You can have down years more then once in your career and then come back and have a huge year the next year.

I remember it being said about McGwire or someone. 1992?? 1993?? How can Frank be comeback player of the year in those years when those were his first 2 and 3rd full years in the majors and he was MVP in 1993.
