fattyguy78
From Rotoworld: According to Newsday, the Yankees are close to signing Travis Lee to a one-year, $2 million contract. The answer to Boston's Ellis Burks signing? Lee's addition could push Tony Clark right off the Yankees' roster. He'd act as a bench player initially, but an injury at any one of five positions would get him into the starting lineup at first base. That would make him worth a couple of bucks in AL-only leagues. Source: Newsday I guess that pretty much means that we have a chance to get him, not that we ever did though
whitesoxin'
I guess that pretty much means that we have a chance to get him, not that we ever did though Did you want him? What good would he have done with Konerko and Frank playing first?
bigred3535
I think he meant if the Sox traded Paulie.
SuperSteve
I think he meant if the Sox traded Paulie. I'd have taken Lee to come off the bench. That is what he is going to do no matter where he goes, except to the Bucs -- where he will start.

I did mean IF we traded Konerko....and even if we didn't he would have been better than Daubach...a little more expensive though

WillieHarris2
Travis Lee is a nice player plus hes pretty young. Also on Sportscenter i saw that the yankees were also interested in Adrian Beltran.

SuperSteve
Adrian Beltre of the Dodgers? Yeah, he means trade for...if the Yankees did that, they would wait til midseason and get him for cheaper, hoping the Dodgers are out of contention. DBAHO
Adrian Beltre of the Dodgers? They need a 3rd baseman badly. I can't see Ol' Steiny settlin for a platoon of Mike Lamb and Tyler Houston at 3rd all season. Juan Rivera and a prospect or 2 could get that deal done, if the Dodgers are out of contention. SoxAce
i wouldnt be surprised if the yankees picked up pujols for a ptbnl.... They tried Soriano, but the cardinals definitely didn't take it. The yanks would have to do a hell of a lot better than that to get the second best hitter in the NL. (bonds 1st) They gave up crap for Vasquez, but I think the cardinals are alittle better in trading good players..

Unless he hits about .320 35 120, he isn't worth $8 mill. Therefore, he should be traded.
aboz56
Nick Johnson? Exactly, Nick Johnson is good. He got overlooked big time b/c of injuries and the Yankees had a ton of other great players, but this guy has a great OBP, he doesnt strike out much and he has a solid glove at 1B. I'll never forget the final series of the year last year at home versus the Yankees when he took Mark deep in the first inning to left field. This guy is going to be a solid player for many years to come. He'll thrive with the Expos IMO.

I would guess that he is a guy you never look at as a great player, but always will be a good player and will be worth every cent he gets. If the White Sox could get their hands on him, I would love it.
YASNY
We've only needed a good LH bat for about 4 years now. Give KW time.
