Guest wsc425
I was interested in the guys KW picked up today. Gil Heredia is a dominant Sox Killer from the past. He could help us tremendously IF he makes it out of camp. I highly doubt he will. Gil Heredia Rating/Makes it out of camp-3 stars, IMO doesn't make it Brian Dabach cannot be doubted. This guy is threatening and deserves to make the team. Brian Daubach-5 stars, Makes it out of camp. Esteban Loiaza is a washed up pitcher. Guy can be threatening if he tries. Esteban Loiza-3 stars, makes it out of camp as #5, if Jon Rauch sucks. Jamie Burke is washed up. He did only .200 in Anaheim. Jamie Burke-2 stars, doesn't make it out of camp. Cliff Brumbaugh is a KW, fringe guy. CB-1 star, minors guy. Brian Cooper, new player, is good. Brian Cooper, 4 stars, should make a late season debut. Overall KW did a good job, I wanted Brian Daubach and a #5. Hopefully, they can contribute.
kj1832
Brian Daubach is a good pickup. He will give us some much needed pop from the left side of the plate.

delben91
and i really think that Loiaza is an interesting pickup I agree with you there LDF. Good competition for Rauch. And if Rauch wins the #5 spot, as I think he will, Loaiza provides an arm to be the long relief guy in the bullpen, and spot start as necessary. baggio202
Its about time KW got his head out of his ass. with the white sox having the all star game and comiskey being on center stage..id wait till next year see just how far both KW and JR have gotten their collective heds out of their asses...if none of these great pick ups are back next year and its another round of the kids can play then both should be :fyou .. its just kinda funny after 20 years all of a sudden we are going to start doing things the way real winners do...is that because they want to win year after yer and re now serious or is it just to impress during the all star game and hope to get a serious bump in attendance...next off season will answer these questions
Chisoxfn
Good Post Baggs. This has to be a new way of running things if the Sox attendance will improve. Fans have lost so much respect for Jerry over the years, that one year won't make them forget.
Soxplosion
Jamie Burke is washed up. He did only .200 in Anaheim. Jamie Burke-2 stars, doesn't make it out of camp. Washed up? Is he old or something? From what I see he hit .305 at AAA and hes had limited mlb action. That sounds damn good to me...

I have no faith in these guys. They are most likely doing this to fatten their All-Star Game pocketbooks for one glorious season that should allow them to operate poorly the next few years and use 2003 as a reminder to all of us who would complain. Not that I have a problem with it, at there ages they should be much more mature and able to handle the pressure of coming up to the majors.
