BrandoFan
What's the word on this fool? How serious was the injury/surgery? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't think won't be as effective in 2004. If he isn't the same, then the Twin rotation will be riding on Radke and Lohse, which is good. Sox could use any break we can get at this point.
mike12345
Radke is not that good...the twins lost their closer and main set up man and they are depending on a 20 year old rookie catcher who has never played much above class A.... BrandoFan
I am going to take it as a 'NO'......And by 'no', I presume y'all mean "Santana never be the same again after that nasty tear". Thanks.
mac9001
Santana had a bone chip removed from his left elbow. Nothing major, he should be 100% for ST.
DBAHO
Santana is very injury prone and that's always gonna be a worry with him, I can see why da Twinkies only gave him a 1 year deal.
CSF
Loshe has killed the Sox in the past, though he did struggle a bit against the Sox last year. Radke usually struggles against the Sox, unless it's a big game, then he pitches like Cy Young against them.
Cali
The Sox definately owned Lohse this past season he was 1-2 with a 6.38 ERA against the Sox in 5 starts.
mike12345
If you look at each team in the central, i think the sox have the best pitching staff and best hitters of any team...
southsider2k5
Looks like Johan pitched in winterball according to this profile http://excite.rototimes.com/index.php?spor...ofile&name=3768
MnSoxFan
Johan is fine, he is NOT injury prone, he missed some time in minor leagues, but has been very healthy for past 3-4 years at least I would guess.

Everyone thinks Brad Radke is Roger Clemens or something. The only thing big time about this guy is his contract. He is not all he's cracked up to be. He is not all he's cracked up to be. BUT he's not bad either. I'd say he's mediocre, but in this mediocre category, I'd rate him as better then Jon Garland. And BTW, as has been proven in the past, just because you have the best hitters and pitchers(though I have seen nothing to prove either point), neither one necessarily leads to a division title. Just ask the White Sox of 2003.
SoxAce
Everyone thinks Brad Radke is Roger Clemens or something. Only when he pitches against us in big games.. If you look at each team in the central, i think the sox have the best pitching staff and best hitters of any team... I still wouldn't underestimate the twinkies no matter how much bullpen depth they lost. They are still very dangerous. They proved it for two straight division titles. We had that same thing in 03. Look what happened.
mike12345
I think this year people aren't expecting us to win the central as they have the past two seasons...i think that pressure is now placed on minnesota and that should play to our advantage... Vegas had the Sox and Twins as co-favorites to win the division with 8-5 odds.
Pastime
Good. I'll be in Vegas in a month, and I have some money to bet. Cha-ching! As for Santana, I love his music and his awesome ability to play the guitar, but I hope he stinks as a starting pitcher. You would think that the callouses on his fingers would affect his grip on the ball.
