Elcaballo45
Good Ol JB.... The man that you couldnt see his eyes cause he wore his hat so far down, and took over 10 minutes to get back to the dugout after the inning was over. I bet the JB magic would come back if he were back in a Sox uniform !
southsider2k5
Good luck JB. He was a guy who knew how to play the game. Too bad his talent was never quiet there.
southsider2k5
Actually to play the "in retrospect" game. Didn't Baldwin think he was going to get a huge long term contract during his last year with the Sox? Wasn't he looking for something near Darren Driefort money? Can you imagine if we had given his broken down ass even $5 mil a year for 4 years? Scary. And chalk one up for Sox management.
baggio202
we did make a pretty good offer to him..something like 3 years 9 million(dont remember what was being exactly reported)..he turned it down... baldwin forever earned my respect when he risked his career in game 3 against seattle..pitching on an arm that obviously needed surgery and went 6ip , 1run (?) he had nothing left in that arm and somehow gutted it out...he's a warrior...hope he can finally put it all back together
