Why would they pick Harris, so they can sit his ass on the bench for a year or two(I mean, I know that's what they did with Willis, but he did f*** up his knee pretty badly in the Fiesta Bowl a couple years ago)? Sam Adams and Pat Williams will get the playing time at DT.

If both Udezi and Smith are gone, they will pick the best available receiver. Therefore my pick is Reggie Williams.

I'd give Reed a shot at WR and besides Harris should have gone a long time ago. If he is still on the board, which he won't be, they will take him.

But Mularkey is running the show now, and I from what I can understand, he likes to run a 3-WR offense....the Bills have Moulds, Reed, and then a huge ???. Do you play Sam Aiken there, who was a 5th round pick last year, or Bobby Shaw, who isn't exactly a great receiver, or do you want to try signing someone(I highly doubt they would get Owens, so maybe they could trade for one of Philly's receivers...I'm not sure) or do you go with just drafting Reggie Williams?

However, I do agree Harris will be off the board by 13. However, if he wasn't off, I don't see the Bills picking him at all. He'll go to the Bears in that case, and that would be THE steal of the draft...a team gets probably the best player at his position in the draft where that team has a weakness at 14? Unless it's a weak year for that position(and it's not weak by any means), it is a steal(and usually it's a steal even if the position is weak, unless the position is like K or P).

All good points, but if I'm the Bills and Harris is on the board you have to take him. The 1st round of the NFL draft is all about who's the best player on the board and slightly what your needs are.

Speaking of the devil, on Yahoo's main football page, the main story is that the Bills could be one of the main teams to trade for Drew Henson. Another Bills QB named Drew....awesome. Not only that, but he's been out of the game for atleast 3 or 4 years, hasn't he? While we're at it, why not sign Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders, part of the old Cowboys dynasty.

Back to the subject at hand, you are supposed to draft the best available, but that just seems to be getting out of hand...3 good DT's? I'm not so sure about that.

Why do you guys think the Bills will take Harris? Please tell me that you realize that they had one of the best defenses in the game last year and are relatively strong at DT. I truely believe that Harris is all hype. He came out of high school as one of the top players and never really lived up to the hype. He was part of a great defense, but he never put up impressive numbers. Furthermore, at about 280 lb he is undersized for what today's coaches want at DT. I really think Harris's stock will fall unless he impresses at the combine. If they have a choice between Williams the receiver from Washington and Harris, than I have little doubt that they will take Williams. Not only is Williams rated higher in most ranking systems, but he addresses more of a weakness than Harris.

Sorry to bump this one over the Bears, but we know that one is staying up there for a while.

I knew I heard that before...

I really think people are overrating Harris. He was always hyped since he came out of high school, but he never put up good numbers. Sometimes the top players don't put up big numbers, but I think people are overrating him, especially since he is only 280 lb, which is not ideal for a DT in todays game. I really don't see Harris going any higher than the mid-1st round unless he really impresses at the combine.

What is your point? Apparently people didn't get the message the first time, so I felt that it was important to restate this. As someone who follows recruiting and the draft religiously I can tell you guys that you are drasticly overrating Harris. Because most of you thought he should have been drafted you had the Bills who have absolutely no need for a DT taking him(even though its for fun). That just doesn't make sense.

Thank you for helping me prove my point.

Apparently, you and I are the only ones to take Reggie Williams(assuming you picked him)...dare I say, great minds think alike? :)

You can't change people's opinion all the time. I just think it's funny how you restated the same thing. NFL teams aren't stupid. They won't be picking this guy based on his expectations out of high school, this isn't the NBA.

Buddy, you are missing the whole point. What he did in high school has absolutely nothing to do with how he is drafted, and at no point did I suggest that(please read a little more carefully). I am just pointing out that he was very highly touted coming out of high school and never really lived up to those expectations at OU. Take it for what its worth. His numbers aren't impressive, his size isn't impressive, and he has performed below expectations, so barring a good showing in the combine I don't think he will go any higher than the mid 1st round, and a team like the Bills, who have no need for a DT, aren't going to take him just because you think he is the best player available.

If he didn't put up good numbers and didn't live up to the hype he wouldn't be picked in the top 15. That's my point. You can't have it both ways. They are either drafting him on potential or he played well in college.
