southsideirish
send pk not thomas. thomas should be sox for life, where is your loyality. Where is Frank's loyalty asking to be traded? Where was Frank's loyalty when he was shopping around his services before he signed last year? Frank is doing what he thinks is best for him and the Sox will do what they think is best for them
Steff
I feel like a redheaded stepchild, wasn't I just punished for a similar post today? You didn't have an article..
witesoxfan
I know it is fun to talk, but allow me to reiterate that all that article was is continuing the speculation that has gone on for at least a month now. There was no new infomation in there. Atleast a month? By a month you mean like from November and December, right? Because, IIRC, about all the rumors involving the White Sox and Dodgers began in about November-December and at some point Lee, Ordonez, Valentin, Thomas, and Konerko have been involved in rumors of going to LA. I just want ST to start so these BS rumors can stop.
Steve Bartman's my idol
Just reported what I heard, didn't know that an article was required. Now in regards to Frank at first, a butcher, cannot throw worth a damn. Cannot turn the 3-6-3 double play, no chance of getting a runner at 3rd on a bunt right at him, with a runner on 2nd, may get lucky knocking down a ball hit right at him, but Konerko is alot better fielder, but I would take Frank's bat over Konerko. Dick Allen
And he can't throw, which you don't have to do much as a first baseman, but then again, you never know when that weakness could be exploited. He has the worst arm in all of baseball that I've ever seen. Steve Garvey threw worse than Frank, and he played first forever.

TLAK
For the life of me I can't understand why people keep bashing Frank's fielding. Doesn't anybody watch the games? I'm not saying he is as good as John Olerud but he's adequate. Look at 2003: Player G POS RF FP Konerko 119 1B 9.30 .998 Thomas 27 1B 9.26 .995 Daubach 45 1B 8.60 .996 He does not throw well, he didn't in 1994 either, and they still gave him the MVP. God did not bless him with a fine arm, he doesn't make the 3-6-3 like Paulie, but he stretches nicely and digs out low throws and bad hops quite well. If I'm the Dodgers (or the White Sox) I would have no qualms about his D.

Haarold
why do people keep saying that about him he has had one injury playing firstbase now all of a sudden he cant play there without getting hurt, im really confused? pls help me texsox. give up PK but not thomas. Amen!!
Chisoxfn
There is nothing wrong with Frank's fielding, his arm is probably the worse arm in the major leagues, but nothing wrong with his fielding. Its average for a first baseman, maybe a little below average. I do believe he could play there every day though, if necessary as long as he was motivated to do it. Never...LA demands to trade Mr. Show back But seriously, I'm with Ian, these rumors are just annoying now. I'm sick of hearing about the Dodgers and Sox...and yet still no deal done. Who knows, maybe it will happen, at least now ownership isn't an excuse. If Frank really has an attitude in the clubhouse, get him out of here, get a prospect and a starter and use the money saved to keep Magglio long term. I'd rather have an all around player like Maggs then Frank. Plus Maggs doesn't create all this commotion.

It's why at this point I'd rather just go with what we've got and hope for the best.
