CSF
Did he recover from that clot he suffered due to that line drive? If so, is he 100%? Can he compete for a rotation spot? Has he fallen off the face of the earth?
fattyguy78
If i recall correctly something was said about him by Kenny(?) or by someone at Soxfest regarding his situation.
SkokieSox
I heard he has recovered, whether it is a 100% or not, I'm not sure. However, he has been invited to ST, so that bolds well concerning his condition. I thought he pitched well, but even if he isn't given a rotation spot, maybe he could long relief. Just guessing, he may very well just pitch in AAA if he doesn't earn the fifth spot. We shall see.
fattyguy78
This is from an article on the whitesox.com Mentions Josh Stewart as competing for a starting job this spring http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...4news&fext=.jsp
YASNY
I knew Stewart had been mentioned by various Sox sources recently. Though, I would guess that if he's going to start he'd have to build his stamina up somewhat. I'd guess he'd be ticketed for Charlotte unless he really turns some heads this spring. DBAHO
I'd like to see him down at Charlotte until at least July first. He's only pitched as high as double AA down in da minors, and he needs to pitch sum solid innings again.
bulokis
Josh Stewart did not really do a bad job when he won the 5th spot of the rotation last year. He was tough and thats what I like about him. Id rather have Stewart than Schoenweiss.

aboz56
Stewart won't make the team out of spring and I don't see him in the equation for the Sox in the future with guys like Wing, Honel and Cotts clearly in front of him in 2005. You could have said the same thing with Rauch, Diaz, Malone, etc.
aboz56
You could have said the same thing with Rauch, Diaz, Malone, etc. All I am saying is the kid won't make the team and if he does, we are in deep trouble.
YASNY
All I am saying is the kid won't make the team and if he does, we are in deep trouble. I don't follow that thinking at all. If he's the best pitcher of the bunch, why shouldn't he make the team?
baggio202
I don't follow that thinking at all. If he's the best pitcher of the bunch, why shouldn't he make the team? id venture to guess that what he is saying is stewart is such a bad pitcher that if he wins the last spot then all the other pitchers that were ahead of him must have fallen on their face...which i why i guess we would be in trouble
