SkokieSox
Another low key guy with potential to be a big help this season. This article is a good read. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...4news&fext=.jsp
WillieHarris2
is this guy competing for a bullpen spot or the 5th spot in the rotation?
WillieHarris2
nevermind that question i answered that one myself
CSF
260 lbs is still pretty big for a pitcher. But it's better than 310. Maybe if he makes the club, he'll slim down some more.

EvilJester99
260?? Geez and people thought Colon was a tub of goo. Hopefully he can actually make some kind of impact with this team. You can never have too many pitchers.
elrockinMT
Good story. This is what you like to hear and see from pitchers battling for those open spots. You lso like to see that they have had some recent success. Carlos castillo and Frank Campos may bring a fire with them and the other pitchers in the mix might actually catch a little of their desire also. Ishmookie
i like this story hopefully carlos will keep it up.
Pastime
Back in the day, Carlos was really "puffy." I bought his old jersey at an auction, and I can still use it as a bedspread or tent. The guy was a really "large" specimen. I'm glad to see he's got his weight to a manageable level. If he can contribute, then bring it on. We need as many arms as we can find. upnorthsox
He only needs to lose maybe 10-20 more lbs, 6-2 245 is not bad at all if you're in shape. He's a pitcher(hopefully) not a male model.

There's nothing wrong with having another live arm in camp, especially when it's attached to someone with a good attitude.
SoxFan1
Wow, thats a real good story. I hope he makes into back into our rotation and does well this season. Also, the picture of him makes him look pretty slim. I hope he succeds with the Sox.

Exactly Yas, compare what Castillo has to say in his story to what Rauch has to say in his Southtown story.
