When are they going to tear that thing down?  Ugh, I've been there once and it is not an experience I really want to remember.

Finally someone who agrees with me on that stadium. Its a freakin dump. They should blow the damn thing up and build a new stadium right now.

A stadium built in 1910, or whenever, is going to be a dump. If I were the Red Sox and history was that important to them, which I doubt since their history sucks too and it's always about money, I'd figure out a way to play somewhere else for a season or two and rebuild Fenway right where it stands. Not remodel, or refurbish. Tear it down and start from scratch.

The thing is, Old Tigers stadium was one of the coolest parks I'd ever been.  I even think Wrigley is a pretty nice park.

CW, since you live in that area, Were the Tigers fans upset they got rid of the stadium?

I was lucky enough to watch the Sox and Wilson Alvarez beat the Kitties in old Tiger Stadium just before it was torn down. I look around a ballpark like that and think of names like Cobb, Greenberg, Kaline, Lolich, etc. The '68 Tigers were awesome.... Northrup, Freehan, Cash, Brown, McLain, Stanley... in fact, that group is one of my favorite non-Sox teams.
