The Bears also tendered Gandy, Tafoya, Edwards and Merrit.

 

Holdman is still under contract, which leads me to believe the Bears may have a trade partner for him.

 

Late reports by the score said they talked with Traylor and he said he was informed that the Bears will not resign him.

 

THis miss that they will definately be signing at least one dlineman, personally I think they will bring in both Young from the Rams and Kearse from the Titans.

Alex Brown and Jevon Kearse would certainly bring a very nice pass rush, but would that D-Line be good against the run. Personally I'd prefer Wistrom, he's betta against the run, played for Lovie Smith already, and he'd be cheaper so u could fill more needs. Plus Kearse is very injury prone, which is always a problem.

See, my thinking is Kearse stock seems to be slipping, but he is an amazing athlete and has so much speed, plus he is a pretty good player against the run and Brown has been good as well, especially for a young player.

 

The question is, do the Bears see Haynes as a player that could be moved inside to the dt. I think the Bears are going to add YOung. All reports have him being on his way to Chicago. He put up quite a few sacks the year before last in St. Louis and this year I think he had like 4 or 5, but he's young and very quick.

I read in the Trib and they said not to read anything into the Holdman situation. He will be cut before his roster bonus is due.

 

I am concerned about Kearse's injury situation the last few years, so I too would like to see Wistrom in here. He and Lovie already know each other, so it will make for an easy transition. I do like having all of this cap room available.
