After these two games, and after all I've read, heard, and seen (which isn't much), I think we should give some credit to Coop. He seems to have a beat on his pitchers, and he seems to be helping them tremendously. :headbang

 

If you don't agree, then maybe we should remember the dark ages under Nardi Contreras and his surgically attached windbreaker. What a moron.

I agree Coop is a huge asset. I think he, Kusnyer, and Nossek are the hidden coaching assets that will make Ozzie's first year as manager bearable (sp?) for us.

 

Two good wins today, nice way to kick off the year.

What was that pitch that Loaiza learned to pitch? was it a cutter? Well, whatever it  was, Coop is a good asset to have. I think Cotts is learning to throw the same pitch so hopefully that help him also.

Yep, the cutter and your right, Cotts is also throwing the cutter now.

 

The Sox also had Loaiza focus much more on throwing his changeup last season.

 

The Sox taught Cotts the cutter in the AFL this year.
