WHarris1
Rooney and Farmer just mentioned something about us losing 8-7 to the Rockies today.
mac9001
They played a B game. Those games don't count as real ST games, but it's still a baseball game.

mac9001
Was it a B game the played against the Rockies yesterday? No, a B game is when two teams agree to play a "unofficial" game. Probably on a back field.
whitesoxin'
Was it a B game the played against the Rockies yesterday? That was just a split squad game and I think it counts, but I'm not sure. It is on their sched so it probably does count.
WHarris1
Alright. I didn't wanna have a blemish on our perfect record... Evidently Borchard hit a monster homer in that game.
Rex Hudler
Split-squad games count. B games are extra games (some are scheduled, some are not). They are typically mostly Minor Leaguers and extra guys in camp. but if a pitcher like a Buehrle or Loaiza needs to work on a certain day that doesn't jive with the regular ST games, they will have him throw in a B game. Those games just give teams flexibility and additional chances to play.

I can't remember what happened exactly, but I do remember Schilling pitched against the White Sox.
YASNY
For the record, none of these games count.
